File complaints with FL attorney general...they cannot make these threats! And they rely on us not knowing that they cannot make them!

john hall is the guy that called me very recently. didn't give me a deadline to pay. however, wouldn't discuss payment arrangements, told me to seek legal representation, and wouldn't allow me to speak. i hung up on him.

Got a call from these turds today. They said verifying the debt was not an option at this point when I told them I wanted to see proof of the debt.

They tried the "talk to your attorney" bit and implied they were taking legal action, trying to make it seem valid with a "case number" i was forced to write down.

The rep also said they would be sending someone to my house.

When i asked for the address, they knew i was going to send a cease and desist letter, so they hung up on me.

Then i called the number on my phone and got the same rep answering. When i asked for the address he said "Why?!" I told him i was sending a letter. It was like you were asking him for his personal address or something! These guys will do anything to see if you know the law! Don't fall for their bullshit! Finally, he gave me the address. And now here I am...complaining like the rest of the people who have been harassed by Legal Mediation Practice.

I am sending a cease and desist letter certified mail on monday morning! Very Happy

This company is a Collection Agency for a Pay Day Loan Company.
The Caller or collector on the phone insinuates and acts as if he were a Commisioned Law Enforcement Officer. He say's intimidating things such as a Case has been filed against you. He makes leading remarks such as He and his department will press crinmal charges against you for oweing the money. His Name is Jack Bowen. Mad

Basicly the representives of this company act as if they could send someone to jail and they make intiidating statements that closely represent them and their company as a Lawenforment Agency..which is CLearly against the Law.
The Economic Crimes Divison of the Florida Attorney Generals Office know of the misleading and illegal collection practices that these people are doing.

It's the Illegal Strong Arming Practices that "Legal Mediation Practice Forces it's employees to conduct!
There is Testamony from a former employee on this Blog! Regarding the Illegal Practices!
Your company can not in way,shape or form represent itself as a Law Enforment Agency! That is Illegal!

The loan compant aggreed to Loan the Money! Just because a check was given doesn't mean an insuffeint check was written!

These people were not nice at all. I got the same phone call with the jail threat if I didn't pay by 5:00 pm yesterday. I told them that I would make my payment on Friday to the lender. They told me I had to pay them. Now first off I don't know if this company is legitimate so of course I'm not going to just send you money. I don't care if they did know the last digits of my social, anybody could get that these days. So my solution is to pay the loan back to the walk in location that I received it from. I'm pretty sure they won't turn down cash money. And I'm equally sure that this Legal Mediation Practice can't get the ball rolling that fast on legal actions. Especially when your debt is only $500.00, come on now. Let's get real this people are just using this so call scare tacktics to get all upset to the point were you can't think. So I decided to get a grip and pay up. I will take the advice and send them a letter. Letting them know that I did not refuse to pay the debt,but I will not pay the debt to them. The contract is between Ace Cash Express and me, not Legal Mediation Practice. Surprised

read about bass and associates, posted on july 3rd in florida times union (jacksonville.com) lawsuit for them from AG. LMP is next....keep sending your thoughts, and i would not pay them a dime. tell them your recording the conversation. (just like they tell you)

Do not beleive that someone actually got 6 months county jail for a payday loan - they are lying and tyring to make naive people think that this will happen. emberassed probably works for this sorry a#$ company.

tell them to drop dead. It is a boiler room type collection operation and they can't do a thing but scare you. They are not a law office. They make an agreement with the check companies to pay what you owe them and if they collect it they get a percentage to split with the collector. No big deal.

Please do not be afraid. These people are bogus. They do collect debts for these type of things. But they do not press charges. I took out a loan of $430.00. I have been paying them for the last 6 weeks a little at a time. I get another phone call from them stating I owe them $220.00 which is not true.I only owed them $110.00. I have been paying them already. The lady Rita (who did not know I was already paying them off)at the company said I had till 12noon or will be prosecuted even though I still ofered to make arrangements to pay. After further investigation she did not even realize I was already paying them and only owed them $110.00. They do not know what they are doing either. She was very rude and unprofessional hung up on me x2. Hope we can do something about them. Sincerely, CG

I already had my debt paid off and they tried to tell me i didn't. They took money out of my account without my permission. I went thru corporate at a payday co. I got corporate to call them to get my refund. Please everyone file a complaint against legal mediation practices. I filed one to the better business . Maybe we can get them closed down. All they are is a collection company. Everyone that works there is corrupt and nasty to anyone that has anything to say. Thanks c.

I have also gotten a couple of calls like this but then for a week it stopped then another person calle ms jackson at ext 297 and said she was in the final processing department and after her then the recomendation would go i have requested for her to send me proof in writting she faxed it to me but still said no payment plan was allowed she also stated i had til the end of the week what do i do know
