I keep getting a call and my caller ID just shows the # 0, so I haven't answered it, and no one is leaving a message. Has anyone else ever had this happen? I am assuming it is a CA about one of my payday loans, but I am afraid to answer.

I better answer next time!

Hi Heather-- you could always answer and try to find out who it is, so you know for your own peice of mind. Then don't answer anymore after that if you don't want to. IF they are rude, then hang up. Often time when the caller ID shows #0, it is a auto dialer system. A collector will put a number into its auto dialer and it will continue to dial until someone at your house picks up. I often get the number 000-000-0000. autodialer.

I will also suggest you to pick up the phone for once and know the actual cause. Because, if the caller feels that you are trying to ignore it, they might take certain actions for which you won't get time to prepare yourself. From the call, you can make out if they have contacted the right person or it is just by mistake.

Also Heather, You will know who to send a validation request to (if need be) and a do not call letter if you wish not to have any more calls from these people.
At this point, unless you answer the phone, you won't know since the ID is showing 0 and they're not leaving a message.

That's the spirit, Heather. Just pick up the call. There is no harm in doing that and do not feel scared. Nothing can go wrong. Instead, you will get a chance to do some repair to your credit if it is a legitimate call about some past debt. Bravo!!

I was hospitalized all these days. Doctors have suggested me complete bed rest for some more days. I may not be regular here for some days.

Yes Mary, I am ok now. My bike skidded in the curve on the wet road and unfortunately I got my left leg fractured and soft tissue injuries in the abdomen. I have been discharged from the hospital but will be on complete bed rest for a while. Just felt like logging in the forums for some time and talk to all you. Include me in your prayers, Mary. I need a quick recovery from all this. Crying or Very sad

Oh David!! Ouch!! I'm so sorry! I wish we had of known. I hope you are alright. Please take care and do as the doctor says and take it easy! I wished we lived close by so we could bring you some soup over and check in on you. I would do it! Do you have a girlfriend, parents or friends that can check in on you? I sure hope so! I'm thankful that it wasn't any worse than what it was. I will be praying for you my friend. Big hugs, shirley
