I am looking for some advice on how to consolidate payday loans with a credit counselling company - can someone give some advice on what documentation I need to have when I make an appointment to meet with them. Basically overall, how does the process work - do they pay on my behalf, am I still charged interest? I am just trying to get an overall understanding of this process - thanks for any advice.

I am currently working with a company that consolidates payday loans. They are going to pay the companies on my behalf. They are going to try and negotiate the amounts that the companies are saying that I owe, so that interest is no longer charged and any NSF fees are also removed from my balance.

Guest, feel free to register yourself in this site. After becoming a member here, we will send you the information privately on the company consolidating the payday loans.

But first, you can always contact your lenders and try to arrange a payment plan with them. Most of them will work with you, but some won't. They will always like to get their money back from you. If you can assure them regular monthly payments, they might offer some facilities in your payments also. Talk to them and explain your financial situation. Offer a plan that seems realistic enough. I am sure your lenders will arrange a payment plan with you. If they don't, let them know that you are hiring a consolidation company. They will further negotiate with them.

Has anyone heard anything about a company called Consumer credit counseling. They are supposed to be nationwide. Any suggestions would be appreciated. They are in Florida and I am in Calif

Consumer credit counseling has a good customer feedback in the BBB. Besides, their consultants are also helpful in making the negotiation process smoother with the creditors. I will suggest you to take their quote and start up with the program. Have everything documented in a file and you will get the results within a period of time.

I have several on-line payday loans that are killing me with deferral fees. Not only do I have the on-line loans, I have other loans in my community. I'm getting to the point where I can't survive. Is there a place that can help with consolidating these loans? I'm in desperate need of help.
