Would it be possible for debt consolidation Form to put a form together, that members can fill out electronically, for the purpose of documenting companies/collectors that have broken the law.

Perhaps if enough complaints are accumulated on one company, this will be indicative of members pursuing a class action lawsuit.

That would be good - if enough people complaln about these payday loan companies ripping people off and are not supposed to be doing business in states that they are not licensed in like my state of Virginia - I believe they are outlawed but they still give loans like to me. Get a petition/petitions going for each state and send it to the appropriate AG office maybe the state legislature can start processing legal actions to get these payday loan companies outlawed in all states.

That would be good but don't know if Vikas would want to 'explore those lands' or not, since he's already getting threatened with law suits as it is. This would really lite their fire. JMO shirley

Hi pollyandsay

Thanks for your suggestion.

We will start working on the 'Report a complaint' section in this forum and it will be online soon. I am hoping that this section will deliver positive outcome like our other services do.

Regards
Vikas

Oh, it is going to be good. I also found a great violation of California law that I am throwing in the letter for good measure

Page 12, Article 2.5, "Obligation to Respect Debtor's Privacy," paragraph 1 (entitled "Communication to Third Parties"). It states, and I quote, "... a collector may not communicate any information to any third party in connection with the collection of a debt." (emphasis theirs)

Heh heh heh........
