I just recently did a debt settlement and has not been processed completely yet. What if I now have a career and my equity level is much better? Will the settlement offer still apply? Or will I have to pay the full amount of my debt? Is it also really bad credit to do this?

You may want to talk to the creditors that you have made the settlement with. Maybe they can go back and let you pay the full amount so that it doesnt show up as settled on your credit report. I'm not too sure though. It may be a good place to start though.

Need help,
Settlement is considered as a negative remark, your future creditors might not like it. However, I would also suggest you to consult your counselor before taking any decision.

Are you planning to go back to school? The loans incurred after entering into the settlement program probably will not be covered. Keep us posted.
