All,
I was able to prove, with the help of a very nice bank employee, that money was taken from my account for the last two months by RA Brennan (or whatever name they take the money under) and, my creditors provided documentation to my bank that they had NOT received payment for those two months. Based on those facts, the bank itself put the money back in my account, and is handling this as a fraudulent withdrawal of funds from my account, and the bank will be looking to Mr Brennan for reimbursement of the $1,414.00 of my paychecks he has in his coffers. You can stop him taking money from your account...I provided a copy of the original Credicure paperwork from 2005 which states my involvement in the program is voluntary, therefore they allowed me to shut off the automatic withdrawal from my account. Now, I'm seeking LEGITIMATE and PROFESSIONAL help to replace this scheisster and his minions. I also sent a registered letter demanding that his company or anyone associated with them immediately stop withrdrawing money from my account, and I have the documentation from the post office to prove the letter was indeed sent to his office. I will keep you posted on the outcome of this approach.

I sent a letter to them at the end of July to close my account, which they did, but they never mailed my last payment (which was a cashier's check - so the bank isnt very useful).... They said it refunded to me & mailed a month ago (minus the fee for August- even though they didnt do anything for me) and yet here I am in October still waiting for it. I was able to close my accounts w/ my creditors by paying them directly... I just want my money back from him! I havent gotten a response in a few weeks.

I got a statement from one of my creditors today. A payment was charged back to my account... So I called them and it turns out the check that R.A. Brennan sent them in july, bounced... There's a reputable business for you.... Haven't checked yet with the other creditors to see if there's bounced as well.. just not in the mood to find out.... Now they not only have my deposit and August payment's that they never even attempted to make... add on a few more hundreds of dollars for bounced checks... I sent them a certified letter in September stating I wanted my account to be canceled... finally about a week ago someone called me... saying they never received the letter... Well it was certified so I had proof of receipt, although I still had to fax them another copy and I faxed the receipt along with it. It appears that they have stopped taking money out of my account but won't be 100% certain of that for a few months according to the bank. I was told that I would get the August payment back at the end of October. They said it was sitting in an escrow account, because of some kind of audit. I've exhausted all avenues of trying to get something accomplished, this returned check is just icing on the cake. Thank goodness my creditors have all been very helpful and that I fortunately have had enough money to make the accounts current even though R.A.Brennan has $1600 of my money. R.A. Brennan if you are truly honest and contact people as you've stated above... I invite you to contact me... my name is Kristen Lee.. Client #13401... I'd like to know what you can do to help resolve this problem...

why dont you just close your bank. It isnt that hard to open a new one. Knowing how this company works, nothing is 100% safe, but they wont take out funds from your bank if you close it. I think its more of a headache, because your sending out a letter to ask them to cancel. They always say they didnt recieve something and so on. Dont trust them, save your self the trouble and hassle, just close your bank account, open another one.

I joined credicure then they were bought by richard a brennan. They are impossible to get a hold of if you have issues. They change their phone number every 30 days and do not have Customer Service Agents. They make you leave a voicemail and do not call you back. They were taking money out of my bank account every month and were paying my debt. Then they stopped paying my cards and kept taking money out of my account. My cards have now kicked me out of the program and i can't get back in and my credit is now really bad because of them. I'm attempting to file a civil law suit against them. DO NOT USE THEM. Use Greenpath a truley reputable company.

It's unbelievable how everyone wants money from you when your down and out. These people are just plain ridiculous . Paying 200 dollars for a retainer when you can just

A. Go through the numerous pay day consolidation companies

B. Research and take it to them with all the resources you can get here and understanding that any debt you owe in the USA is subject to federal law.

They will lie and threaten but the payday loan companies days are numbered it's just a matter of time before Congress gets so sick of every letter they are getting they will do something about it.

All right I'm off my soap box now

Anyone been able to get through? I am getting the same stupid message that they will re-open on October 9th. It is after 10am eastern time. This does not bode well. I think they have used the last week to get a headstart. They are taking our money and running.

RAB has my money--you are wrong, I DO know exactly how stressful it is like to have people calling all the time to collect money. I do not come to this site because I have nothing better to do. We are all in the same boat here so don't be so quick to jump to conclusions about someone you don't even know.

Guest ~ Perhaps you should take your own advice. You were very critical of someone who complained about being treated badly by someone who was supposed to be helping them. So maybe you were quick to jump to conclusions. Based on your comment, I assumed you were an employee of RAB.

You know what happens when you assume. I wish you luck in your debt situation. I know you are upset about the RAB situation, but don't take it out on us.

RAB--which comment by a "guest" is the one that you are stating is mine? Check facts before you shoot your mouth off. Your a guest here too you know. You are supposed to seek and give help here, not slam guest posters. Grow up and handle this situation like an adult.

I guess I made another stupid mistake. I registered on here and got a call from CCCA and they signed me up for a debt settlement program with the law offices of Richard Brennan. I gave them my checking account info so they could withdraw the non-refundable "retainer fee" of $133 on Oct. 2nd. After getting some more info from this site I decided to try and settle with my payday loans on my own so I never signed or returned any of the paperwork I received. I called back CCCA and left a message on the voice mail of the rep I dealt with and stated I wanted to hold off on the debt settlement program and wanted to stop the withdrawal from my account. I made this call about Sept. 22nd. I assumed, like an idiot, all was well until I checked my bank account and saw that the $133 had been withdrawn from my account. I guess I should have called back and confirmed he got my message. Now I'm out $133 and will probably be overdrawn soon on my new checking account. It's tough to get ahead.

VBair, Crystal, Margeaux, & anyone else who is interested. I am suing him. My lawyer is taking it pro-bono. Profane language edited - Mike
. You won't even use your real name in posts, ***. I'm not out to get millions of dollars from RAB, I just want my money that's been paid in for services not rendered. I want the money that has been assesed for late fees, finance charges, etc. We'll get our money & honestly don't care that she's wants 25% of what we win, she earned it.

The Maryland Bar Assocaition has been notified, to which my lawyer was disguseted to find an infinate amount of complaints agianst Brennan & his sub-companies. Brennan has PERSONAL STAKES (as in he's partial owner if not a stock holder) in all of the companies he has been "representing". He's just been watching out for himself & his cronies via Enron style papertrails & accounting. Upon notification of my intent he's denied everything every step of the way but who is really surprised right? I'll let you all know how it's going.

Just for future reference the MD Attorney General will not help you in this situation as they can't take cases that were not 'purchased' in MD. So contact your own states Attorney General & best of luck getting anyone at the VA AG with over a 6th grade education working at that office to talk to you! HAHA!

So I finally got a response today stating they were mailing my refund back today. They gave me a check number and amount. I really hope I see this check in the next few days. Has anyone else gotten any response now that they are back open?

Jamie, I really hope they get what is coming to them. It is great that your lawyer will do that for you "pro-bono". Good Luck!
