I don't think anyone is telling you guys that they're "mailing" a refund. Why would someone tell you that knowing full well that once you don't receive it your only going to call back and cause more problems for them? I think that they may be saying that you are going to get a refund, because no company would blatantly steal money, that wanted to stay open for long anyways. However, I think your hearing what you want to hear and not listening to what is actually being said.

Guest,

Their not "telling" me...I have emails stating it was mailed, including a check number and amount. And I actually just received it in todays mail. So, I know what was said to me. Sorry if they are not saying what YOU want to hear. I'm done with them now.

Crystal Glad you got your refund, I am working on making sure no funds are taken out of my account either from CCCA or R.A. Brennan. At this point I am really confused as to who I have been working with for last three weeks. I am going to try not to be taken advantage of by having money come out of my account for services I did not even use.

Crystal - I hope the check clears. Right now I have zero confidence in that company!!!

As of today, they tried to debit my acct. I am hopping mad. I called and I am calling back in a few to speak to a supervisor. Does anyone know exactly how they are listed on the BBB. I am having a heck of a time finding them to make a complaint.

Thanks.

I had cancelled my account back in September and sent a letter. I had also told my bank that they no longer were authorized to withdraw money. If they happened to do so, which they didn't, then my bank would go after them. It is against the law for anyone to take money out of your account without your authorization. From now on, if I were everyone, I would start recording my phone conversations, saving emails, getting names, etc. I don't trust them whatsoever.

I just had my attorney contact Ra Brennan and they spoke to Sam Mukiibi who said that they werent aware of holding my 344 for the August 28th the was debited from me account. They did that to everyone! They act like they are sooo unaware of what is going on with their clients its unbelievable! Sam said he will call back on Wed. and speak to my attorney to see if they are holding my funds and it wasnt paid. If it wasnt paid to any creditors, then my monet is sitting around. I have the bank statement to prove that the Law offices of RA BRennan deducted 344 and that none of my credit card companys recieved payment for Sep. Thank God I closed my bank account and I've had it up to here with them. Of course it illegal to keep peoples money, and just because hes an attorney doesnt mean he is a saint, and doesnt do things that are illegal. When I spoke to Natasha on 9/9/06 she said she isnt going to lie to me that she has no idea when the refunds will be issued. So I had my fathers attorney say a few words. Hopefully we will all get our money and peace of mind back.

Well, after discussing it with my husband tonight, if we don't have our refund by Wednesday - they will be hearing from our attorney as well.

I am in the same sinking boat as the rest. I have spoke to several reps. who point fingers everywhere except the office. I have contacted a lawer and he is giving Ricard A. Brennen 30 days to clean up my account or action is going to be taken. In a nut shell Richard a Brennen is stealing our monies.

Sub: Why am i having these problems?

I signed up with credicure about a year ago, and since then our balances have only gone up. I'm in the military and am consulting a JAG officer on what I should do. We've given about $7000 to RAB in the past year and 2 months. After reading all that you've written here, the United States Navy JAG officers are gonna be after this guy. He WILL never see another military client by the time we're done with him. I want every dime I've given him back, so I can salvage my credit score and get these balances down. If I cannot get my refund, it's gonna get ugly.

This is in response to the guest comment about why would they tell you they were sending a refund?
This is why. RA Brennan is turning over all Credicure's clients over to a new company beginning Oct. 1st. If you choose not to stay with them and create a debt settlement program (Which is not paying off your creditors completely)You will be sent to this "new" company, at which time there will be an "audit" of funds, where they try and figure out who's staying, who's going to the new company, and who is going out on their own. IF you are going to the new company, they are supposedly going to be making any payments that havent' been paid for the last few months, as was in my case. If you are going out on your own, you should be getting a refund.
In my case they withdrew money for Aug. and Sept. and told me when the new company took over they would make 3 payments in the month of Oct. So far, it hasn't happened, and they told me that no payments would be coming out Oct. which they did, So, I disputed the debit, because no services were rendered, and the bank refunded my money. I will probably close my acct.
My advice to all of you... Go to BBB type in RA Brennan Law, and make a complaint.
I have since called them several times and sent many emails, to which they have not responded. What a shocker.

Kimberly -
Did your bank refund the amounts from the August and September withdrawals as well, or just the October one? I have heard the same story from most of their employees regarding the Aug/Sept/Oct payments, however some employees have different stories as to what happend with the past 2 months withdrawals they took. I assume that the initial refundable payment is long gone, but if there is a way to recoup the payments from August thru October (assuming they don't follow thru and send them to the creditors)then I would love to know how to get it back.

CAREFUL...If your bank refunded you money...they give up to a certain amount of days to get the money back from RA brennan if they cant, they will deduct the amount you owe. Your dispute for the amount that was taken from RA brennan is under investigation. I know, I worked at a bank for 5 years, just be careful because if the money RA brennan took from your account isnt paid back to the back they will reverse that amount in your bank account...regardless if RA brennan paid your creditors or not. I got lucky that I was smart enough to close out my bank account. I only got aug payment deducted and waiting on that refund. I spoke to some moron about it today she said sometime in OCt.If not, they will be hearing from my attorney.

I have attepted repeadily to contact Richard's office. I have also left several VM for Richard...with no response. They have been deducting money out of my account for the last 2 months and haven't been paying my bills. Not to mention I canceled my enrollment over a month ago. Also, beware..I had really good credit 750 credit score before them. Now I can't even get a low rate credit card becuase you get bad things listed on your credit report. I was totally mislead on this whole thing....I am one pissed off girl.

I too have been scammed by Creditcure/Richard Brennan. I received a letter saying that they were taking over for Creditcure and trying to help us out. This is awful. There should be a law against this. I have lost around $400 because I paid it up front after being told that I would receive it back in a year. If there is anything that can be done I hope that someone will do it. We work too hard and times are too hard to just throw money away. The whole reason we are in this mess is because we were trying to get out debt straighten out and now we have a bigger mess. God please help us.

I have called them for the last time today. Thursday they will be hearing from my lawyer. I am so fed up. First I was told the first of October then the 13th, now they are saying they don't know, but we will get our money back. I wished I lived up there. I would picket their building.

Here's a good one - I spoke with tiffany at the office today and she informed me that all the payments that they are late on (August thru October for my account) will be sent to the creditors this month. When I asked her for this in writing, she stated that no one in the office is allowed to send letters to their clients. What company has that policy?! Sounds like they are trying to avoid leaving a paper trail when all or our lawyers and the government agencies come down on them.
