I spoke to Natasha today and she told me that No one will recieve the money back. She said she has a list of people that she needs to call. But I told her why were you telling me that a check for aug 28th will be refunded back to me? She said after her supervisor looked into it, that my aug payment was being paid for my july payment. And that when I started on the program it was pushed a month back. Example. Jan 28th is supposto pay for Feb. She told me that it was being paid for December. They held the money when I started the program. So none of my credit card companys received any money for a month when I started. Does this make sense to anyone? And were you told the same thing. This is such a joke. Is she just telling me what I want to hear or what? Im calling my bank and going to report fraud for that month that was taken out. Ive tried dealing this on my own and its getting to be a headache. I knew I wasnt going to see that money back. The refund is a joke. WE wont be getting anything back.

In addition to my "deposit" they have two months of payments. Two months that they did not pay any of my accounts. They are crazy if they think they can keep over $1300 of my money and I will just go away.

Nothing personal, but debt consolidation companies have left a bad taste in my mouth. I think I will clean up my own messes from now on.

I have contacted the AG in texas located in Austin. They have a website where you can file your report at www.oag.state.tx.us. Click on the left 'Consumer Protection', Click on the right 'Consumer Complaint Form Online'. File your complaint. They recommend that you copy the correspondance, contract, etc. and send it to them.

He is listed in the BBB as Richard A. Brennan, Esq.

I used that designation and added DBA Law Offices of Richard A. Brennan.

Hope that helps!

I am sending this letter to Brennan's office. It probably will elicit no response.

As of this date I am terminating your services for non-payment of my creditors. Two payments equaling $1562.00 have been removed from my account with no services rendered. The staff of Richard A. Brennan is unresponsive. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General of Texas and the Better Business Bureau. I am retaining a lawyer to recuperate my expenses.

Now they are trying to tell me that they will only refund me for September, that August was for the previous month. That is a big steaming pile of bull s#$%. What business, particularly when dealing with people already in financial trouble would front the money to pay the creditors and then debit the client the next month? I have the paperwork to prove they are full of crap.

I started another thread about RAB. If you have any information - addresses, working telephone numbers, working emails, etc. Please post them on that thread.

We cannot let this guy get away with this or we will not be his only victims.

Taquita,
Thanks for the information. I'm in the same boat, taken my deposit and 2 months and refuses to return the money. Now saying they can only return 1 month, full of BS. Their primary number is not working either. Here's another working number:

Natasha : 1.240.215.3624 direct line...

One thing that may help a little. Since this money is taken out of your bank account, I contacted my bank and aside from the stop payment, I alerted their Fraud division, they are investigating as well.

So, I just just talked to someone from Consumer credit counseling Services of America and they are going to send me my registration stuff for Robert A. Brennan's company to represent me....now what? I was just reading all of this information and now I am scared that once again I just gave this man my checking account info because I thought it was safe. If I don't sign the contract will they still take money from my account?

tinkers,
Are they supposed to be debiting from your account anytime soon? I would block any ACH debits from them if you are having second thoughts of using them. My bank has always told me that they need at least 3 business days to block any ACH debits. Also, since you haven't signed any contracts yet, you shouldn't be bound by any of their terms or conditions.
