Hiya folks. Just wanted to let you all know that I am going through the SAME thing. Check out my sob story at Rip-Off Report.com. Anyway, there is recourse here! Attorney James Koch of Maryland has filed a class action suit against this a-hole. He is representing all of us that got taken by Tricky ****. His email address is jkoch1(at)ix.netcom.com. Please contact him and join the fight. Brennan is a thief and needs to be punished, not to mention that we all want our damn money back!

As of today, February 10, 2007, the law office of Richard Brennan owes me $2817.00. They withdrew money from my bank account for two months and never paid my creditors. "We don't have system," is what I was told. I had to close my bank account, open a new one, beg my creditors to work with me and change to a reputable firm. Since October, I have tried to resolve this issue through fax, email, correspondence and phone. Never have phone calls been returned. Never has anyone been able to return the money owed to me.

Stay away from this office of lies. They do not care about taking your money away. I have filed compaints with The Attorney Grievance Commission of Maryland and the Federal Trade Commission and encourage everyone to do the same.

Even though I have requested the extension number of Richard Brennan to see if this person actually exists, I have been told it is against their policy.

Beware.

I was also scammed by this rat. I canceled the service after trying for days to contact someone at the law office of RAB When I finally did reach someone it was some young boy who couldnt even talk like a profeesional. he sounded more like a 14 yr old trying to talk his way out of somthing. After i canceled the service the money was still taken out of my account. My bank advised me to close my account and open a new one.

I was lucky that my band worked with me and stopped payment on all future debits. I have cancelled my account with the law firm but I have yet to hear about my refund of $3000. I do not know if it will ever come in but I have contacted an attorney to see what my options are. I would advise anyone to not use this company.

Alright folks, let's quit ****ing and start some action. Attorney James Koch has filed a class action suit against this butthead and we really need as many people involved as possible. There is power in numbers! I want my mony back and if I can help anyone else get their money back, I will! Oh by the way, if by some odd chance Tricky Dick actually calls you or emails you, DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD HE SAYS. See my email correspondence with him below (what a friggin liar!)

I was also conned by the law office of Richard A Breenen. I paid $151.00 a month for 4 or 5 months but most of my accounts went into collection. I have written to them a couple of times and have also called them but no response.

ok, well i'm glad I read this thread...

when I signed up for this site at about 7:20 eastern tonite I got a call at 7:32 from Consumer credit counseling of America. Since I haven't signed up with any debt consolidator's in a LONG time, nor gotten calls from any, i think it's pretty obvious where they got my phone number.

Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention, when I expressed doubt that I wanted to "sign up" tonite over the phone, they said I could research their company at rabrennanlaw.com. What is he buying leads from here or something??

I think some individuals need to take a firm step back and look at the things that you are saying. Everyone is in the same boat. Everyone signed up with an agency that has now changed hands. Name calling, insults and threats are not going to accomplish anything. I have felt the same way, angry and frustrated. I have also spoken to rude individuals at Mr. Brennans office but have since been put in contact with someone who regularly returns my calls, keeps me up to date and is honestly trying to rectify the situation that I put myself into to begin with. Mr. Brennan is one man, and to think that one man is out stealing everyones money for months on end is ridiculous. Do you honestly think this would be allowed to continue? If the man was smart enough to defraud all of us for the amount of money that you're stating then he'd be smart enough to high tail himself out of the country. He sure would't take the time to monitor a board posting if he was just some greedy swindler like he's been made out to be.
We all signed up with credit companies so we are all adults. And as adults I would think we could act like we have some semblance of class instead of acting like hot headed, foul mouthed individuals with nothing better to do than sit around and blast a man who in good faith has assisted many individuals. Take some responsibility. Recognize the fact that we're in this situation because we made mistakes with our credit. It's highly possible that Mr. Brennan has made errors but just like we're attempting to fix the mistakes we made, he's also trying to help rectify the situation he jumped into while ALSO helping each one of us.

In response to amanda, you have a point that people are where they are from their own misuse of money. But you are also forgetting the flip side. People get in business with Mr. Brennan for he makes promises, and then fails to deliver. No matter how these people screwed up, they have contracted with Mr. Brennan for assistance, and he gives none. I'm sorry, but if I ordered a product, paid, never received, emailed, was told it was sent, still never received, contacted and got no response - well, I would get pretty upset and would want a refund. As much as the creditors are calling because someone owes money for a service rendered, people hire Mr. Brennan for a service, and never get it.

Since you have a contact name with his office that appears to actually help people, why don't you post that info so others can have a better experience.

Bizkette,

How can I contact James Koch? I signed up with a different debt settlement named Mezey and Associates. There are many people that have experienced the same kind of things you all have experienced with Richard Brennan. We have talked about possibly organizing a class action lawsuit against them as well.

Any help you can provide would be greatful to myself and others.

Good luck with your cases.

Tricam

Just a follow up to amandas comment. I beg to differ with you about Richard A. Brennan. Not sure if you have read a few pages back regarding researching and uncovering IRS tax records that proved as fact he owned several of these companies that are no longer in business. He tells us he only recently become involed with these companys but the record confirm as fact he owned them since 2003.

I think he is playing some kind of shell game with these companys and our money and painting himself as a do gooder.

How can one man do so much you ask. No sure but I will let the hundreds of complaints from others who have had there money stolen speak for that.

Just an update, I am still waiting on my refund. Go figure. Also, if you call the office to 240-252-3452, it is answered as American Debt Advisors. I went to the website and it does not list RA Brennan at all. Also, if you call Anthony's number at 240-252-7717, the law office has changed it name to Brennan, Smith and Associates. The website for RA Brennan has also changed and has no way to navigate around it. It is just a black background with RABRENNAN in the center.

After reading this Ive been trying to contact RAB people, today I instructed my bank to do stop payments on anything he tries to remove, I also contacted the company he is using to withdraw money from my account and instructed them to cease trying to withdraw any more funds... Im now going to contact all my credit card companies and grovel, and explain what happened and see if its not to late to fix this problem....whats the chances of getting my money back from RAB?
