While I sympathize with the staffing issues, IT issues,etc...what should us DMP clients be doing to ensure that our accounts are paid up? No matter where we came from .... we still need to have our debts paid - whether directly to say, a company like NCO - which I didnt even know was involved until all of this. Right now, I'm waiting for a 22 day old (your office sent me confirmation) received payment to be even posted to my account before it is mailed to a creditor. I've contacted the bank to see if its been cashed. If we can just get this posted - I'm done with my debts. That's one less person you'll have to deal with!

By going through Richard Brennan who took over for Credicure they failed to make my payments to my credtiors. I went from having 0% on my credit cards
to having 23.99% interest. I had nothing but problems since they took over.
I have now just started paying back my credit cards on my own.

I dont know if people read this on a regular basis...or just come here to complain but I was told that his office system is down and taht's why my payment that I sent 23 days ago hasnt been posted to my account and they are hoping to have it up next week. Just thought I'd let the general public know this. For all of our sake, I hope they were just telling me that so I'd stop calling and writing - which is sad.

I see i'm not the only one. I have signed up with United Christian Financial and later on it was transfered to R. Brennan law offices. This is such a scam. People do not sign up with this company. They are ripping people off. For the past year all my payments were late which caused all the late charges to add up to significant amounts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They did so much harm to my credit that it is unbelievable. I really wish they loose all their clients and can not cause any more harm. They debited my account a month ago and none of the payments were sent out yet. What do they do with our money???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to write a latter to Nebraska GA as well and i will do whatever it takes to make that R. Brennan to pay for everything: for screwing up my credit and for causing so much harm. He will be sorry he did all that once i'm done with him and his staff and the firm.

These guys are crooks! My story is ditto of all the others. Do not get involved with this firm. They have not made payments on time and the past month has not been paid at all. I belive he is trying to force all the debt management clients he took over into a settlement situation. Why would I trust his firm to handle a settlement when he can't even distribute my money properly to my creditors! Does anyone know what we can do to get our money back from this crook? All in all I stand to loose $2000 not to mention time wasted and stress/suffering.

So I made a second payment today. Amazingly enough, it was posted 1 business day later by creditors and they are in the process of getting the interest waived and closing my account. Now, I just have to get teh original payment I made via cashier's check posted to my account and refunded back to me. Its ridiculous what is going on right now. That is, if I wasnt just totally scammed.

Am too trying to get my initial depost of $ 400 back even though i havent finished the program and i havent finished it because this firm is nothing but scam and fraud. They were constantly late with my payments and i got kicked out of the program because of them. Every time i tried to get a hold of the firm, it was either closed for unkown reasons or their phones were down or their system was down. It was always somethign else. I have filed a fraud report against the firm and i have filed a complaint with BBB. I will do whatever it takes to get my money back. Why should that dirtbag get my money that i work so hard for and he just scams people who are trying to fix their financial situation.

I too have been having problems... and reading these just makes me feel more sick to my stomach... I initially signed up with Credicure and only found out that it got rolled over to this R.A. Brennan law in June because my payment was late and I was notified by my creditors.... I was told it was a compute glitch, a one time occurance. July payment was on time. Now here we are in August, they took the payment on the 1st and my creditors still haven't been paid. They too have my initial depost $650 and August payment which hasn't been applied. I'm really frustrated and don't know what to do... Going to stop payment before they take more money on the 1st of September... I signed up so that I could get my debt paid off and they are hurting my credit more than anything...

ive been trying to get a hold of him to see how much i owe on my last credit card i sent out one more payment.i call on the phone and they never call back.now i get a letter today saying to call this number 1-866-892-1055 and its a recording saying leave your name and number they will call you back.then they have a web sit which i tried to get to it says no site can be found. im really tired of this.

I went round and round today calling my debtors and stopping payment on my auto deduction. Finally actually spoke to humans today. Mainly due to pushing buttons and extensions until someone picked up. I have been lied to up and down. Last week was told payment would be in by end of month, today someone told me that the checks were at the creditor but they just sit on them. (spoke to all three of my creditors) they stated they cash them within 24 hrs of recieving. Spoke to another guy who said it was cause the gal in charge of payments left abruptly and they are trying to sort through it. What does one believe??? All I know is that they have my money and have not applied to where it should be. I told them I stopped payment and was informed that I would receive a NSF charge. I responded by stating that the funds are there and as soon as they can prove to me that the funds have been dispersed appropriately I would be glad to reinstate the payment. The more and more I go around with them, it seems like a big scam. I have turned them into the MA attorney general and BBB. My creditors have been understanding when I spoke to them and remitted payment of my own, but I can only afford to do that so long in addition to the money that Brennan's office takes... I have a message with a Tenney/ supposed office manager to call me... We'll see if he actually does, since no one from there has ever returned an email or a phone call. I sucks being stuck between a rock and a hard place. They have my money and many others are not abiding by the contracts that have been signed and it doesn't seem there is much to we can do about it other than report it... I am feeling that it may be best to just cancel the contract, walk away from $1300 and start from scratch. My creditors offered the names of legitimate DMP programs. Someone out there has to be a honest businessman. I am yet to determine whether Richard A. Brennan himself is honest but all I can say thus far from my experience with his staff is that I am being scammed....

Just thought everyone should know that I recently received a pre-printed letter from the above. This was after several phone calls and several emails about lost and returned for insufficient fund returns.
The letter states that as of February of 2006 CrediCure was forced to close. Since the closer creditors have requested Brennan remit with manual checks instead of electronic payment. Also, some of the checks that were issued were cancelled and reissued. It also states that they would prefer to help settle off your debts, but if I remember correctly you have to have $10,000 in debt or more for this to happen.
There is a new email address, which I doubt anyone will respond to, legal.issue(at)rabrennanlaw.com. Also, a phone number 800-892-1055, but since there is high call volume, the receptionist may return your call to schedule a consultation. The receptionist's ext is 101.
I pesonally will be seeking another debt management to step in, not before making certain that the three payments that were "lost" are taken care of,not to mention the a return of the returned check charges.
My main question is: Why weren't we informed of this problem before it became a BIG problem? I believe we are all trying to get back on track with our debt. Just goes to prove that you really can't trust anyone.

I have been thru this same stuff with USA/Credicure/Brennan. I have been switched to a company called Golden State debt management in California, does anyone have any info on them?

I have been trying to get with Richard Brennan's office because they let one of my credit cards get delinquent by 4 months, yet they still took the full amount out of my bank account. Any ideas on how I might succesfully get that back?

Like most all of the web postings on this company, my experience with Credicure/Richard A. Brennan has been overwhelmingly negative. Missed payments, late payments and now NO PAYMENTS to my creditors. Two debits have been posted to my checking account by RA Brennen, but NO payments to my creditors. I am now past due on all of my accounts in the debt management program. I am pursuing legal avenues and have contacted the BBB in Maryland. Any and all would be customers of Richard A. Brennan are advised to stay away.

There is a man named Clark Howard who has a radio show on AM radio and he helps people with situations EXACTLY liek this thread I am reading.

I too was originally with USA Debt, who turned my account over to Credicure, who, if I'm not mistaken, had to shutdown because the CEO had a little problem with a government prosecutor. Somehow, this JERK, Richard A. Brennan ended up with my account. I was not informed when this happened. Next thing I know, my creditors are not being paid. After continually trying to contact Brennan's office, I finally talked to someone. I told them that I found a reputable/reliable
firm to take over my debt consolidation. I told them that I wanted my $900.00 deposit (paid to USA Debt)refunded. Mr. Brennan's office basically told me to "take a hike", we are keeping your money. I have since filed a complaint with the Maryland Att. General and the BBB. This b&$#^&d needs to be thrown in jail.
I am amazed at how this guy ends up with all our accounts, without signing a contract with him, then after not paying your creditors, thinks he can keep your deposit. Simply amazing.
