I am pissed off like most of you all. I cant believe this asshole richard A brennan can get away with this. I hope he rots in hell..for all the hurt, pain, and time he has caused me. SOme of you that say you havent had any problems with them..goood fucking luck! I was with them for 6 months..and no problems. The 7th month there was late payments to my creditors. The 8th month there was a missed payment and now month 9 another payment..so im 2 months behind. They deducted a total of 800.00 everytime you call its a different story..that my credit cards cashed the check...blah, blah. I highly doubt 12 credit card companys cashed the check in the same month. GIVE ME A BREAK! I talked to the Moron himself..and he has a way of manipulating you..dont settle ..go with another debt management that is non profit and with the BBB. PLEASE READ ALL THE COMPLAINTS POSTED HERE. It infereates me to see that I wasnt the only one. Who knows how many other clients there were that this have happened to but didnt post a comment about it or complained. SO much money, time and struggle has went into this..and its become a joke. I hope he gets sued and shut down. I feel like flying down to fucking MD and socking this asshole. But you know what good luck to him! WHAT COMES AROUND GOES AROUND!

After the nightmare of having my accounts from credicure transfered to the law offices of Richard A Brennan I am now with a new company they turned the account over to about a month or 2 ago.
The February payment so many of us had autodrafted and not distributed by Brennan is still in their possesion and I have been trying since June to get it back. It is by their own admission that the payment was not distributed from February but they still have not fulfilled any of their promises to resolve since early June. On 8/24 a supervisor in their processing department gave me a line of crap and swore he would get to the bottom of it and call me back that day, needless to say I recieved nothing and can now get nobody on the phone. They also have a "circle" system going where when you select that you are a credit counseling customer that it just throw you back to the main message again. Due to numerous late payments in the short period of time with Brennan's office my wife's credit score dropped almost 80 points due to their actions, they deduct the money on time and hold it for weeks.
I spoke with the Maryland Attorney General office this morning and he did some internet searching while I was on the phone to see the amazingly high number of complaints with the local BBB and Federal Trade Commission. He recommended I call the Maryland Bar at 800-492-1964, they in turn had me call the Attorney Greivance board for the state of Maryland at 410-514-7051.
After speaking to a nice woman in their office it became clear to me that they had heard complaints about this office but she said there was no "public" information they could give me on an investigation.
She did however tell me to go online to their site and get a complaint form to file, here is the link

You can download a pdf and mail it in, I'm sure if they haven't already started an investigation they with enough of these complaints mailed in they will start rattling chains at the office.
I encourage anyone with a legitemate complaint to follow through with this. I hate that I have been forced into this action but they have my money and will not give it back. They do not return phone calls or e-mails and I cannot get anyone on the phone, what else should I do?

When you call the number to Richard A brennan make sure you press 1...then if it goes back to the answering machine, do the same thing. Keep doing it until someone picks up. I know they are a joke, my credit was affected big time. WE are doing our part, they are not doing theres. I am going to go to the website as well and file a complaint. Did they make you put a down deposit when you started with them? ANd you get that back after your done with there program? I am looking into another company..and I told them that I put a deposit down and they thought I was crazy. There fee is 50.00 to start it up and 14.00 a month..Richard A brennans is 39.00 a month. The other place is open 24 hours a day and they are non-profit as well as accredited by the bbb. moneymanagement.org
I just got off the phone today and Richard A Brennan is trying to get people to settle there accounts because he is going to close the debt management program. His department is going to deal with only settlement clients. And all of the others that dont want that will be transfered to another debt management company. I hope he gets sued! I want my money back too..asshole!

I did the "1" trick and was able to get an operator for a company calles ATSL that answered the phone and she transfered me, not sure who ATSL is?
I left yet another voicemail that will not be returned.

Upon reading the threads here, I see a persistent problem. Those who signed on with the firm as clients have had a positive experience, while those that were not clients of the office, but rather clients of one of my corporate clients have had troubles. My phone system has been rendered inoperable at least a dozen times in the past two months due to greater call volume than it can handle. This has resulted in system shut downs and various other problems. To remedy this, I have urged non clients to contact the office via email. We have also found competent agencies with whom to place these consumers or offered our services directly if it is of greater service to their needs.

Regarding the press 1 option for ATSL...depending on what time you call them, lunch, taking a nap or whatever goes on there..you need to call between 9:00-5:30pm EST...from 12:00 to 1:30 they are at lunch. The switch board is Kathy I believe and she answers places you on hold for a while until Natasha, nicole, or anyone else picks up. They have about 4 people working there dealing with who knows how many accounts. With the whole message thing..a call wont be returned. they are full of it. They are quick to return the call when you want to join so they can get money from you. But of course when your accounts are late or no payment due to some bullshit with processing center problems...or your credit being affected because of there lateness...no one picks up to help!
Ive been with them for 9 months and this is the second time some of my creditors were shorted out the money that was supposto be recieved to them. Ex. Old NAvy is supposto recieve 20.00, they get 50.00 and then short my other accounts. Then I am responsible to pay the rest to make up for that month.

PS I could write a book about the issues that have occured a number of times. Now that this whole mess has gone down..I told my parents about it. They didnt know I consolidated debt and had no idea about my balance and that I was getting overwhelmed with the due dates, etc. I was embarrased and wanted to show them that I was responsible. Little did I know they are going to give me 8,000 to pay off my credit cards..and im not that stupid to do it through a debt place, not after what ive been through at Richard A. Brennans office. I am going to drop the program pay the full balance. Which I also will get 3 years of a head start to repair my credit that his office messed up. I am going to make monthly payments to my parents at no interest or fee! If I did it through his office it would be 1,400.00 what for? ASk a family member, dont be embarrased, and do anything you can to not settle with his office. LOOK online and do a debt management vs. settlement..reaseach your shit before you regret it. EVeryone that was his client recieved a letter with him convincing to settle out your account.

why dont we all sue the shit out of him? there must be hundreds of complains, and or scams from credicure/richard a. brennan. im sure everyone that had an issue doesnt even know to come on here like alot of us have. report him to the better buisness bureau. look at how many complaints! try his phone number, address put down as much info or else it wont work and it wont be able to find the company.

Nice try Richard, why don't you give me and the others our deposit back? And, that will probably solve most of what your reading here. Or, have you already spent the money? In the court case of Jeff Formulak (Credicure) who is the Judge that assigned you to take over our accounts. I can't believe that that Judge didn't tell you to: A.) Contact all accounts and give all funds in their account back to them B.) Tell them that they needed to find another consolodation firm. But, no, you totally mis-handle everyones account. And, tell us that we have NO OPTION, and, your keeping our deposit. Even when I don't have a contract with you to break.

I'm atking the advice of rwmosley. Amd contacting officials in Maryland. Hopefully, they will launch an investigation and seize your asset's, just like the did in the case of Jeff Formulak.

DON'T USE this company Richard A. Brennan or CreditCure which is one in the same. We have lost over 2000 dollars in the last year and just discovered that payments aren't being made. Keep watching the BBB they have quite a file on this group. Not only that, they do not call you back, they do not answer the phone , (well actually in the 26 times that I have called they have answered once) Their employees are rude and unhelpful and i'm still trying to figure out what happened to our $ since nothing is reflected on our credit card bills.

Yet again, I read the misinformation provided here. My office DOES NOT TAKE deposits. It never has. An attorney may not take a deposit. Just as every other attorney in business, I charge a retainer fee based on my hourly rate. If you are speaking of a "deposit", then you are NOT referring to my law offices. You must have made a deposit with another company and NOT with me. I cannot refund a deposit that I never received. Also, when you research CrediCure you will find that I was their Attorney and not a member of their board or an owner in that business. I do understand the frustration of the individuals affected by this. We are working to resolve all outstanding issues. It has come to my attention that a couple of my legal assistants spoke to clients without guidance and either misspoke or spoke on issues that they were not informed on. We have attempted to address this situation. They did not know what happened with CrediCure and then became short tempered when the recieved too many calls for them to handle. For that, we apologize and move forward with resolving the issues from CrediCure's closure.

so if we signed on to united christian financial when i began back in december. Are they the ones that are supposto give the deposit back? After what I went through with credicure I dont want to deal with another debt company ever again. I trust no one! Trust your family only!!! I am going to pay off everything with the 8 grand my parents are giving me. There is no website or phone number for credi cure? I cant find it. Could you please post something if you have that information. Because they are the ones who have the deposit that was taken out of my account. The 39.00 a month is richard a. brennans fee. Im not even worried about the deposit, im worried about
1. the payments being late
2. no payments being recieved
3. being thrown off my proposals
4. having all 11 credit cards reported for recieving no payment that month.
5. being in a bigger mess now than i was when i started. Thanks! I really dont know how you can sleep at night with all the mistakes that have happened to every single client of yours. WOW.
PS if its not richards fault, its someone who you employed or work with, and that obvioulsy falls on the man responsible.

That is exactly the same situation we are in. We have more debt than we started with now. Check out American Credit Foundation® for anyone that is interested. They are accredited and audited yearly by an independent third-party auditor. They have no automated systems and someone is always there to answer your questions. They have been very helpful and we are going to use them.

I have been asking Richard A. Brennan and Associates for documentation of how the money + the monthly fee of $39 each month has been spent with our creditors without success. No informatin is being shared. Good luck to you all. It's hard to realize that you have lost out when all you are trying to do is better your finances.
