Every email that I have received has been responded to. If you could give me some sort of indication as to who you are, then I can check on your request.

I have invited several individuals to see the records as to when payments were remitted. We are doing all that we can to assist those affected by CrediCure's closure. It has not been easy due to so much misinformation and misdirection outside of the control of my firm.

Please see my above post on the background of UCF / USA and CrediCure. They were separate companies, with USA / UCF taking the first payment, then forwarding client information and contracts on to CrediCure. CrediCure took on the responsibility for distributing payments. My investigation has yeilded that there were several issues going on which may have affected client payments from CrediCure. My offices are working to resolve those problems. Among the many issues I have found, is that many clients got 30 days behind at the beginning of the program and many creditors never updated that status. Another issue I have found is that payments miss posting in one statement only to appear on the next statement. In part this can be caused by automated payment processing systems used by creditors. In still other cases other issues exist.

Typically, in all credit counseling agencies, a consistent problem I have found is balances are higher than when the consumer started. This is usually (but not always) due to a proposal issue at the beginning of the program. This issue can also become present if the creditor's automated system does not record a payment within a 30 day payment cycle. Typically, if there was a payment made in good faith, the creditor will rectify such issues if they are notified within 60 days of the occurrence.

Just thought I'd provide some useful information.

Also, as for time.... this morning I "found" the time to defend a debtor from a sherrif's sale of her property and have a judgement vacated because I proved that the settlement offer my office made was reflective of another client's financial ability to do so. I logged in to see if I was missing anybody here that needed immediate action.

Ok...Now we understand what is going on and the amount of pressure that your law office is under...What can we do to make the process easier for you and ourself in getting these issues resolved???...I understand that if we just keep pointing our fingers at your office that it will just eat up time that you could be actually working for our accounts...Let us know what the best thing to do would be so that we can get the peace of mind we'd like to have about at least knowing what will happen to us, and give your office the breathing space it needs to work on our accounts

After seeing the amount of time that Mr.Brennan has devoted to answering our questions my fears that this is a scam have been lifted. I appreciate him taking the time to address my concerns, and even though I am not continuing his program (I have recieved an insurance settlement and will be paying my bills in cash), I thank him for the effort he put in on our behalves.

I'd go with a debt settlement. At this point your credit has already been hurt so theres no need in dragging out the process when you can save yourself about 50%, not to mention a few years off the length of the program. As long as you don't incur any new negatives on your credit report after you finish the program then your score will rebound. It makes absolutely no sense to take hard earned equity out of your home when you can settle off a debt so much more easily.

If that's the truth about Credit Cure and Brennan Law Offices then why is there a busy signal on the 877-895-1607 like it has been disconnected?? I have spoken with people at this number several times from March till Aug. now can't get hold of anyone...being threatend to be sued myself because Brennan Law Offices didn't make payments on time and even skipped payments...but still took the money out of our accounts. So my question is this...what's true and not.

Yes the number is disconnected I called as well. I would go to your bank account and do a stop payment. I am also going to close it out because if he still trys to take out the payment on your due date, the bank told me they will still be able to if they change the amount. So your not safe because they can automatically withdraw the funds. The best bet is to close the account. I wrote his office an email last week and also tried to call, to tell them Im done with there BS, I dont want a settlement or anything. I was told clients that didnt want to settle will be transfered over to another debt management company. Which one? who knows! By the time they contact you it may take more time then it already has. GO to this website and its to his office, call these numbers, its works...but good luck getting a hold of someone, no one returns your calls. rabrennanlaw.com/

I wish I'd had the good sense to look here when I was contacted by RA Brennen. All I got was a letter from his firm, and a note posted on Credit Cure's old web site that "due to recent IRS tax rulings, Credit Cure has had to turn its clients over to RA Brennen". I also had to send RA Brennen a power of attorney. I have been with Credit Cure since they were known as Nexum, and, before that, as AmeriDebt. I've paid over$1000.00 per month since June 2001 on an initial debt of $72,000. As of end of Jul 2006, I only owed another $23,000., which I had expected to finish paying off within the next 23 months (from Jul 2006). Last month, August, RA Brennen failed to withdraw my payment from my bank by the agreed upon date. 10 days later, I called and spoke with a woman in his office.
She said she didn't know what happened, but would make sure the woman responsible for making the ACH debit was made aware. She asked me to call her back in four days if the transaction still had not taken place. I called her back four days later, and got only voice mail, and left her a meessage that the money to pay my creditors still had not been taken out of my checking account. Since then mid-August to today, Sep 18, I've yet to receive a return phone call OR response to my e-mail inquiries, after e-mailing and calling an average of every other day! I notified all my creditors, made check by phone payments to all of them for Aug and Sep, and post-dated phone checks for Oct. One of the first creditors I called, Bank of America, was willing to listen to my tale of woe with RA Brennen and suggest that I get in contact with another company that does CCA with them. I am calling them tomorrow, as I ran out of time today (taking off from work to make calls all over the East Coast and Mid-West to my creditors, 14 in all, from my residence in Alaska, a four hour time difference). The real kicker came, though, was when one of my creditors, with whom I had both a VISA and MC account with, told me that the checks RA Brennen issued in Jul to pay my accounts with BOTH bounced! I have contacted several lawyers, and I too may file a suit against RA Brennen, even if it is only in small claims for the few hundred they took from me and bounced checks on! I suggest to anyone else using (or rather, BEING used by!) RA Brennen: First stop payment on any pending ACH payments from their account to Brennen. Second, since you have to pay a fee to stop payment, and it will only be good to stop ONE payment, you should next revoke any power of attorney you've given them and BOTH fax the revocation to them, THEN send it to their business address return receipt requested (registered mail). Third, close your current checking or savings account, whichever Brennen HAD access to, and re-open a new account (with your same bank, if you explain the situation they will help you!)so Brennen cannot sucessfully send any more ACH demands for payment to your account. I know, from reading the posts here, I have been extremely lucky that Brennen didn't take my money AND refuse to pay my creditors! I hope my advice here will help any others in these circumstances. The ONLY pitfall I have with my own plan as stated above is that four of my creditors told me that if RA Brennen doesn't send them a "release", stating that they are no longer my CCA representative, that they will not accept a proposal from ANY other CCA; this means my interest rates and payments to these four will go up; but, I am optimistic. Should RA Brennen refuse to provide them with that correspondence, I will explore other options with these creditors AND the courts and BBB, AND Bar Association in MD! Good luck to us ALL (except RA Brennen!)

We need to find a forum that is not limiting our discussions & where we can find others like ourselves to start the class action lawsuit. My lawyer is all for & has said that I've been screwed six ways from Sunday. Since signing up my credit has gotten so bad that I can't get approved for an apartment!!! The gov't won't even entertain the idea of letting me get into section 8 or HUD housing it's that bad. I trusted UCF/FRC who trusted RA Brennan to pay my bills as was discussed & put in writing. As my lawyer sees I have no contract with RA Brennan, only UCF which is no longer in business. I will cancel my payments. I have found conflicting information online about the BBB & RA Brennan. I have expressed my issues to both the BBB & Maryland Attorney General who have both advised me to contact a lawyer ASAP.

Please blog mediator-help us by letting us use our email addresses. this needs to be resolved as you can see how many have been affected.

DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS COMPANY! It is now September of 2006, and I consolidated through them in February of 2006. My credit went from great to POOR, and the agency still has not contacted 2 of my credit card agencies to propose a plan with them to get me out of debt. So, now that I am done with them, I'm out about $1600.00 and am still in the SAME amount of debt that I was in when I started. DO NOT GO THROUGH THEM!
