I refused to pay a final bill with ATT Wireless [I won't bore-boar you with the details.
Heres what I do is put the number in my address book on my phone and call it from NEVER [meaning never answer].
If I have nothing better to do I answer anyway and say "Hello, Please Hold"
Put the phone down and they soon hang up.
I feel just loike a Gov Agency!

Why even answer at all?
If I answered and told them off as many of you suggest I bet my Blood Pressure goes up.
When you know who it is "DON"T GIVE THEM THE PLEASURE OF ANSWERING" Put them on hold and let your phone sit!
Their automatic machines detect an answering machine and the only time a human even gets involved is when the phone is answered. Best to put them on hold to waste "their" time.
God Bless "CALLER I.D."

I called the 801 373 7735 number and used option 2. I got a voicemail for a Julie. So I file complaints with both the FTC and the BBB. They keep calling and insist on overcoming my objections to taking the survey.

Botch, did you confirm the purpose behind these calls? It might be a collection calls for one of your past debts. If you are not able to get this verified, use this complaint form below and report the phone number you are getting. I bet they need to be taught a lesson by the legal people. Alert the legal authorities to investigate on this company.

Jessi that sounds like something my uncle would do. I love the answers and think I just might do this next time.

What I have found very fun is to get the name of the company and find out where the main office is located. Find out who the employees are and look up their home numbers online and call them at night. Ask them (while they are at home) and ask what companies are funding the surveys.

Just had a missed call from this number on my mobile. Which is funny, because it's an Irish number - what would I be wanting to buy from Utah?

How about just answering and leave the phone hanging...don't say a word. Let them pay for your time.

I completed this survey 6/01/07 (the person on other end made it clear that this was no telemarketing or for to sell something.) The survey lasts 30 minutes (is very long). Surveyor and supervisor though are polite. The survey content is politically oriented (seems to be Republican sponsored). I wanted access to the results (an ethical requirement in all human subject research). Their supervisor said that the results would appear in "leading magazines"--their company had not authorized any further comments about this. Advice: don't do this survey. They want too personal of information about you.

Received a call from a rearch company regarding my bank. Asked if I would take this survey. I said No

I know my bank does not conduct this type of survey.
