Surveys for political purposes and research surveys are protected free speech, and not subject to the Do Not Call List, nor do they have to stop calling when you ask.

Been tested all the way up to the Supreme court - they have a legal right to call, just as you have a legal right to hang up on them.

I have registered do not call list. Like JJ said this number 801-437-3150 is exempt from the do not call list and called me several times. I am gonna close my washington mutual bank account. If a lot of companies do these things, we will have a lot of headaches. Damn stupid government, always taxes but not provide good service.

They called me a few days ago and I was not comfortable with giving out info about my banking over the phone like that. They have tried calling three times since then. They just called a few moments ago (after 11 pm EST) and I picked up to find out why in the world they were calling so late. It seemed goofy to me because the lady seemed to be using a phony voice. She said that they wanted to get a better representation of different areas at different times. I told her it was ridiculous and she hung up.

So much for the DNC list. Stupid surveys...pathetic!

This company, Western Wats, called us 3 times today. By the way, it's Sunday. They claimed to represent a company we do business with asking personel questions. After I hung up on them I asked the company they claimed to be working for about western wats. Guess what, never heard of them. Tomorrow I'll call the state Attorney General of Utah and register a complaint of attempted identity theft. I'm sure nothing will happen but I have to try anyways. God Bless.

I got a call from this number and could barely make out anything the woman was saying due to her heavy accent and then a horrible echo or the fact that she might have been calling from a room full of other people making calls. When I said I could not hear her clearly she got verbally abusive. I hung up at once only to receive 4 more calls within a half hour from the same number. She said I was rude for hanging up but I continued to do it. It's been quiet for the last fifteen minutes

If you prefer not to be contacted, please email us at optout(at)westernwats.com to be placed on our internal no-contact list. For clarity, the federal do not call list prevents telemarketers from calling registered phone numbers. Western Wats is not a telemarketing firm. The purpose of our telephone calls is not to sell but instead collect your opinions.

They simply want to harass you.....so do not give them a chance to do so. So, next time you see a call from this number do not pick up the phone.

Take care
Nelly

To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone:888-382-1222. Or, go to www.donotcall.gov

It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time.
It blocks your number for five (5) years.
You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked.
You cannot call from a different phone number.

HELP OTHERS BY PASSING THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS.
It take about 20 seconds
