Default ER Solutions

These jerks picked up my name from some fraud sheet and started calling 5 times a day...of course there is no one there when you pick up the phone and you have to wait and eventually you might get someone; Qwest says that they have a bank of phones and #'s that get by their(Qwest's)blocking system on our phone; anyway, this guy Lou Prince(sp?)finally gets a hold of me and starts yelling at me about paying my $38,000 bill that Washington Mutual says I owe, which WMutual dropped because they knew it was fraud and they were part of it; he says he's going to come and get me one way or another and that Keizer, Oregon isn't that far away that his wife grew up nearby in Portland...anyway, I told him I'd call him the next wednesday(this was Friday night)and in the meantime he keeps calling Monday/Tuesday(iwas out of town)another 8 times...the next day Wednesday I called before he came to work, worried that I might have to sell my house or commmit suicide or something drastic, or take him out and go to prison, but the person I get is nice and tells me that since I have a lawyer they can't bother me anymore until their fraud division gets involved.(which Lou should've told me when I told him I had a lawyer but he was too busy being a collective ass)..since our Attorney General is involved and the FBI and my lawyer through my work plan, i m hoping this is the end of it, but I doubt it...It's been a scary last 4 months since this all started...basically, don't answer any foreign e-mails...I was starting a non-profit and still will once this is over to send kids to a computer camp on the coast that my cousin runs, and got taken, along w/Washington Mutual so watch out, and if you believe in God, praise God that you haven't been scammed or have to come up w/$38,000. I sure hope I don't.rbb

Richard,
I too have been somewhat scammed by Washington Mutual. Because of a couple of payday loans that wouldn't stop debiting my account, WAMU closed it. Well they told me they were going to close it on August 11th last year. November gets here and ER Solutions starts calling me telling me that I owe WAMU $129.00. I call WAMU and find out that they really didn't close my account and kept charging me monthly service charges to my savings account which they then rolled to my checking account that they closed. I told them to send me a printout and a letter stating why they waited 3 months close my account because I wasn't going to pay them a dime!!!!! Now because of WAMU, I can't get another bank account period. My nephew who has an account at WAMU as well which I might add is always overdrawn...they have never closed his account. WAMU is a bunch of CROOKS!!!!!

Do you have any record of this? Any letter from Washington Mutual that the debt was dropped, it will help you hold your ground.

And when it comes to collection agency, always ask for validation before paying your debts. It seems Richard is on the right track already. I would also recommend going through the papers of contract thoroughly. Check what the procedure of closing existing accounts is. Make sure you receive some documents stating the account is closed. Keep us posted.

Also, off the subject but just a bit of info for everyone in the forum; Many major banks have recently begun acting as the funding source for payday loans (both online and storefront). They are doing this because they want in on the profits but are unable to lend such small amounts with such high interest rates through their own institutions. Washington Mutual is one of the banks that does this.

Is that why Delaware and many other states are coming down on the banks for funding the payday loan industry?

Do the usual stuff, send a demand for validation letter, and be prepared to file suit. Read up on demand for verification letters elsewhere on this site, also read upon on the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ("fdcpa").

Richard

What a scare! Sounds to me like you have had your fair share with the scammers. You should consider joining the forums, and posting your story for a chance to win $1000.

Please do let us know on the outcome of the investigators' findings.

Regards-
Mike

PDL Associate,
Is there somewhere I can find the information about WAMU backing payday loans? I currently bank with WAMU but I don't really want to have any part of any institution that backs these companies.

My former mortgage company was WAMU. When I had financial difficulties a few years ago I refinanced and my payments that I owed to them were broken down over a several months. But I had to come up with several thousand dollars to put down.
After I did that, they told me I still owed them for 2 months and I was behind on my payments for 2 months constantly for a whole year. I argued with them the whole time and asked where that money was? No one could tell me.
Finally sold the house and they took those two months payments. I tried to work with their lawyers who said I would get it refunded, but I never saw it again!
They are a HUGE pain in the a$$ to deal with. Make sure you have lots of documentation.

Default ER Solutions and WAMU

I am still fighting credit bureaus over a year 2000 WAMU NSF bogus scam purchased supposedly by ER Solutions. How can you have NSF on a closed account? Duh! After complaints, it gets deleted from my credit report, then ER Solutions changes the spelling of their name to E.R.Soulutions (adds a "U") and posts to my credit reports again. I have complained to FTC and thinking about getting Attorney General involved.

Ever wonder what happened to Providian? Washington Mutual bought them out. They are crooks as mortgage lenders as well.

Another mortgage firm to stay as far away from as possible is Countrywide. They've been know to rip off home sellers by waiting till closing day to find something wrong with appraisals, and they basically manipulate the price of the house.

CC, E.R. Solutions is there in your report for the same account or they own some other account of yours. If it is the same account, dispute it again with credit bureaus. Also attach copies of response that you received when you disputed it earlier.
