Send them a letter telling them this, send it certified mail/return receipt requested. When they continue calling you, after they have received this letter, record all their phone calls and document each time they call. Then sue them for violating the fdcpa. Also, file complaints with the FTC, your state's Attorney General's office, and the Florida Attorney General's Office.

It's been proven time and again these psycho's don't have any regard for the law, they need to be held accountable for their actions.

I received a nasty call from a person who identified himself as Mr. King. He told me I had an "ACH check" with a payday loan from July. I asked him for how much and told him I could not recall. I also called him back to request documents to show my debt. He told me that he did not have to send me anything and that he would get my attention this afternoon. He threatened jail time and arrest. I told him that I called my bank and I had not check for the company he referred and he said that it was an "ACH check" but would not send me documentation supporting his allegations. I had not heard from him until now and didn't even want to hear about payments or any other method which I would think would go with "mediation" practices. What should I do?

they cant do that. they did that to me today and i was scared out of my mind. i did pay it but. i talk to someone and they said they cant dont that and you can get them with harresment and threating you.

today i got a call from this collection agency about a payday loan i received in december of last year (2008) i am ahead of my story they call last month (may) and this gentelmen call left a nasty message at my resident, so i call them back couldn't make out what he was saying, told me if the money wasn't paid, they file a lawsuit against me and i could face criminal charges.this leagal dept. manager call me said i have two hour to come up with 300.00 dollars he very nasty and rude to me didn't give time to speak or nothing he said i don't have time for this a have other paper work to do and you won't have a job tommorrow he was going to refund the first payment i sent to them which was 200.00 dollar i sent to them two weeks ago he by 11:30 est the case will downloaded told me do what you got to do beg, steal, whatever you got to do to get this moneyand he hung up the telephone on me and i call back and told him he rude and nasty.he said that is his job to collect a debt and thats that and then had the nerve to tell me" may god bless you it's my life at stake here" ! what kind thing is this the loan was only 200.00 dollars and when this man call me tellin' me all this stuff talking about the is 1,12.00 i ask why is that cause of the legal fees this and that this crazy! i am not afraid because they can not come to no one's job and have them arrested" let my god handle my cast" ! amen : ) please send answer

i forgot to tell this also this man said he was going to refund my 200.00 dollars back and i thought they are not going to refund nothing back just talking it was sooo crazy how he was talking i need my 200.00 dollars anyway!
