I am opening up a line here for all collectors to post their work address, and I promise, if your address is true, you will get a visit from me very soon. I already have your IP's and Internet providers, now I just need your physical address. Lets stop the chit chat and get down to business.

Hey Countrygirl, instead of ducking and dodging ASG, why don't you act like a responsible adult and talk to the person who is calling? Typical debtor...do what you want to do then run and hide when it's time to pay up...then the collection agent is the one who is in the wrong! Gotta love that.

Go to hell scumbag debtors!
Allow me to quote what another poster said on the previous page about ASG:

Quote:
I've just encountered ASG this afternoon. They claimed they just recieved a collection from a bank in which I haven't had a n account with for over 4 years. I called the original branch were I opened and closed the account and they told me they have no record of my account having any negative balances or anything to warrant having the account sent to collections. It makes me wonder if these creditors even have the right information. When I tried to obtain information from the representative from ASG, they said they couldn't tell me specifically when or why I owed the money, only a total and that a payment arrangment could be made. They wouldn't even tell me a fax number or mailing address for the company without arguement. They want me to pay them money on some debt I'm totally unaware of from a sorce that says I'm in good standing with them. Without even giving me any info on my own account.
Isn't it the law that they have to give me notification and and a written statement explaining why they're asking for money before I pay them?
NEWS FLASH, moron--if the "debtors" are the scumbags, then why is ASG committing illegal acts to try to get money form someone THAT DOESNT OWE ANY MONEY? That isnt even a legitimate debt you retard. NOW, DO TELL, why do people not want to deal with scumbag collectors again?? There are at least three separate violations of federal law committed by ASG right there, and that was in just one phone call!!

AS it has been said many times over, if idiots like you would follow the law, places like this forum wouldnt even exist. But the laws exist because debt collectors are idiots, and these forums exist because those same collectors are still idiots even in the face of that law. There are examples all over this forum of people telling a poster to pay their bill once it is properly and LEGALLY validated as a legitimate debt, so stop whining about "why dont you just pay your bills" already. The quote I put above is a perfect example--ASG is illegally trying to collect on a debt that doesnt even exist.

1--they have no legal right to be collecting on that account--the original creditor themself has stated this.
2--they are required by law to furnish the information about their company if requested, which they refused to do.
3--they are required by law to validate the debt if it is demanded, which they refused to do.

Get lost, "scumbag". I am sure there is some other forum for you to troll around in...

Sky,Anthony,& Lawstudent are correct. We see consumers getting taking advantage of by collectors&creditors all the time. I have never advocated to not pay a debt legally owed. It is up to the holder of the credit instrument to provide the information required to validate that debt.If a debt is valid, then go ahead and pay it.If a debt is valid,I still advocate that the rules be followed in the actual collection process and in the reporting process. When everyone follows these rules, there will be less need for boards like this. The Federal Trade Commission along with Congress got these laws on the books for a reason.Everyone knows how slow government is to react to a situation and if they saw the need, then we all know how bad it must have been. If guests wish to add something to this topic besides the lame excuse of just paying your bills,I am all ears.I happen to know a few collectors myself and the reason we get along is they follow the law to the letter. The funny thing is they make a huge amount of money and yet still follow the law.

Sidekick.....Let me splain......I have answered the phone a number of times and either no one is there, they hang up, or there is a recording. I won't even deal with them when a recorded message comes on, if a live person can not call all the time, don't call at all! I got 2 messages like the one I discribed before, those were live people. But I bet anything if I would have answered they wouldn't have said anything, like they are ducking and dodging ME! So what up with that???? When we had a nurse come in after my S/O's surgery, she answered once and no one was on other end, she hung up and a few seconds later picked up the phone and they were STILL on the line, she said that 'this line must not be tied up in case of emergency'. She then hung up again and right away the phone rang again, caller ID showed it was from the same #, and no one was on the other end AGAIN!!!!! So tell me Sidekick, how to deal with this situation. I was willing to talk to them when they called, but I just refuse to be a fool and answer when they call when I know that I will be breathed to, hung up on or have some recording. And try calling there.....it's another recording..... So SIDEKICK of GUEST, who is running and hiding here????? 8)

I'll tell you who is running and hiding, it is our friendly Guest and his sidekick, Asskick man. I am waiting for them to divulge their correct physical work address, and I am serious about it. I want to show them just how much I want to meet them. So, lets go, tough guys, give up the way to your mouth.

If you want to come meet me, go ahead. I don't really care one way or the other. You can find it online, but I'll save you the trouble.

Amherst, NY 14228

I don't know where I earned your enmity, considering I've been nothing but cordial, but hey, if it gets you going, you can come and meet me.

If you're so into that sort of thing, you could always just do a Collection Agency world tour and just go from agency to agency and threaten collectors. Sounds reasonable, doesn't it?

well, now why in the world would anyone not want to deal with a collector, such as yourself??

gee, I wonder....

here's a little tip for ya, e-thug.....the ones that talk the most about fighting know the least about how to fight. I dont need to tell you how I would kick your ass--if it ever came to that, you would learn it first hand, no explanation would be necessary. Now, this isnt any kind of threat or anything--you are certainly not worth the legal trouble. But you should wise up, champ--really. your statement can easily be shown to be within the gray area of legal/illegal actions. My best advice to you is to do to this forum what the opposite gender does to you--simply walk right on by like it isnt even here. You clearly have no intention here other than to start crap.

Then again, your fellow caped collector hasnt answered in a while--I bet it has something to do with his fascination with everyone's balls. I wouldnt recommend getting too close to that one--unless you really are that lonely. If these posts from you are any indication of your personality, then chances are good that your most recent dates required a bicycle pump. Either way, thanks for stopping by, and have a nice day. Since you refused to address any of the legal questions posed in your direction, you obviously have no clue about the very law that governs your job. I'm practically begging for you to find my phone number sitting on your computer screen one day soon, so I can sue you for your complete lack of knowledge about this law.

Good day.

yes, you should grow up--youre supposed to be the "professional" among us, arent you?? You are the one who's on the job in all this mess, not us.

NEWS FLASH--youre an idiot. Run along now, and rejoin the multitudes of idiots who are just as "professional" as you are....

All right guys and gals,I do enjoy a healthy debate but making any kind of physical threat is illegal and could get that person in trouble with this being a public forum. So lets cut to the chase and get back to the topic of how and why ASG has no clue of what laws must be followed when colecting debt.
