Is there any websiter you can get a free credit report with all three companies and your credit score without having to use a credit card? I have one credit card my check card from the bank and I don't want to use it for this. Is there any free and I mean free credit reports you can get on the web without credit cards?

The only place to get a truly free (no other obligations) credit report is throught http://www.annualcreditreport.com However, you cannot get a free score from there, you must still purchase it.

Doesn't it ask you to sign up for a service, which you can cancel at any time, to get the free report?

ohbenc...Those with the "sign up for this service, no obligation" things have a habit of "accidentally" forgetting to cancel your account then you end up in some program that charges $20 a month or so.
Read all the fine print, and be careful.
You can purchase your score from Equifax for less than $10...And you can do it by mail if you don't want to put it on your card.

Kathryn, I'm not sure if your question was addressed to me. If it was, the answer is no. Annualcreditreport.com is the website that was mandated by the FTC. It was set up for the three major credit bureaus to comply with the law which went into effect in 2005, allowing consumers one free credit report per year from each and every credit reporting agency.

It was to you and thanks for clearing that up. I looked at one site that wanted a credit card number for a membership, which you could cancel at any time, to get the report. I was not sure which one it was.

There are a lot, Katherine, that you have to sign up for a membership.
Annualcreditreport. com does not charge for their service unless you want to purchase a SCORE...That is not included in the yearly report.

I just don't understand why you have to purchase your OWN credit score - I did a couple of these long ago with membership. I did experian report and there is a discrepency(Spell?) that they that when we (mynow deceased husband and I went bankrupt) that we put our house on it we did not, if we did I wouldn't still be living in it would I? How do I dispute this or does this really matter - because I am making my mortgage payments monthly on it. Any suggestions appreciated. AND there isn't any place to get a free credit score?
