Okay, if my day couldn't get any worse, I check my emails and low and behold an email from Sonic. To my surprise, this is what the email stated.

Quote:
May 1, 2006

We are sorry for any hardships that you may have been caused.

On that basis, we have written off the balance of your account effective immediately. We have removed notice of this debt from your credit bureau and our company shall place no derogatory marks against yourself with any credit bureau.

We trust the above is to your satisfaction.

Kind regards

CONGRATULATIONS Tammy!! I got my paid in full letter today from GECC. I have to get busy with AIP - I paid over $625.00 for a $200.00 loan! United was $840.00 for a $350.00 wonder if I can get a refund from either one of them?

Tammy, I can imagine the smile that you had in your face. It's such a relief to feel that your fight against one of the toughest companies brought back positive results. Remember, the whole credit goes to you because you did that all alone.

oh2benc2, claim for a refund with the help of your bank. Dispute it and the company will be forced to refund the money back. You can’t let your hard earned money go wasted. Anyways, congratulations

Well, Sonic is now taking a lighter turn and perhaps, is on the run out of the States. Perhaps, you will also be hearing from them soon with words of apologies.

Do what Tammy has done tactfully to handle the situation. Sonic was on the wrong side and Tammy applied the legal method and remained well informed. Her hard work got rewarded. She has given a run to some collection agencies in the past who tried to make money from her. Tammy, you have a very strong personality. I can't stop to congratulate you yet again.

How did she get Sonic you ask? If memory serves me, she got them in a headlock and beat their heads in with a herring until they screamed uncle, then gave them atomic wedgies and ran their briefs up a flagpole.

Just kidding. She was persistent with the cease comms and dispute letter, kept her consolidator and all legal aid close at hand, and she did not stop fighting them until they admitted wrongdoing. It may be an uphill battle, but all hills come to an apex.

The ole snafo? It was that simple? I figured that you had it all down to a science, like I described above.

I do Ari, just having a bad day and didn't want to type what I really wanted to say, don't think the community would have liked the words I would have used.
