They were calling me with a phone number of 800-720-1469. There was never anyone on the other end. I researched and found out it was Allied Interstate. I got them to stop calling by sending them a certified letter to stop calling me. I have checked my credit reports and nothing is on there about them. I have not received anything from them regarding any debt. But at least they are not calling now.

I don't deal with any scumbags in this country let alone outside this country. If you get a summons answer it and sue them for harassment, they will possibally drop the suit albeit without prejudice which means the next scumbag jdb can start it all over again when the debt they gave $10 for gets bought for $5 by th next dirtball. NEVER IGNORE A SUMMONS OR THEY WIN BY DEFAULT. DON'T GIVE THEM THE SATISFACTION. You are only required to pay the original creditor, that is the law, you don't owe a collection agency anything unless they can prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that they were ASSIGNED the debt legally by the OC. Fight'em, you'll be surprised of the outcome. Then maybe collect some money ie. $1000 per instance for a bogus listing on your CR. Food for thought.

I have it as: P.O. Box 361445 Columbus, OH 43236. But there are many others for this fraud company - they started calling me once i bought a house (a house where the past owner past away - of course) such slimy nasty unprofessional people. If sending your C and D letter - let me know, i am about to get evil on them.

A collection agent by the name of Aliss keeps calling my cell phone. I ask her to please call my home and she refuses. She harasses me several times and calls back on a private number.I plan to sue them for harassment.

This is what worked for me. Call the company that owns allied which is Icor. They have a consumer help line 1-800-811-4214. Explain that you are being harassed or not the right number and you want this number taken off the list. Remember to be very nice when you call. This also works for NCO if anyone wants the info. X

Ok...debt are civil and not criminal...so they wont go to prison. And you wont drive them out of business either You need to write a cease and desist letter and send it certified mail, return receipt requested. Dispute the debt and tell them never to contact you again.

Allied Interstate called this morning looking for someone else. They would not give any details but continued to ask me for details about this person they were looking for. When I called back and asked for information about their purpose and how they received my number, they told me they were recording the call (as if I was the problem instead of them). They also gave me this address in Illinois but said they were physically located in Columbia, Ohio. When I did some internet research on them I saw the terrible reputation they have and am worried that they will begin to harass me in an attempt to find whomever it is they're looking for. If anyone knows how a D.C. resident can put this type of company on notice or stop such phone calls, let me know. Thanks, 'Concerned'

1-866-446-2874 her name is Asia, and she'd be more than happy to take calls from anyone who wants to annoy her. It appears to be her direct line as well!

I have received numerous phone calls from a toll-free number (888-748-4956), but I ignore toll-free numbers. Today, after receiving 8 calls between 10 and 2, I finally answered. The caller asked for "Kim". I said "Kim"? She said "Kim Norris". I told them that person didn't live here. The woman said she would remove our number. After I got off the phone, my husband told me that was the name of his ex-wife's ex-husband! I got 2 more calls, which I ignored, but the next call I answered. I told them I didn't know the man, that he had once been married to my husband's ex-wife. She asked if I had an alternate number!! I said I never knew the man & I have no idea where he is!

I am wondering where they got our number. We have lived in this house for 7 years now. My husband was divorced in 1996 & his ex-wife was only married to the other man for 6 months. My husband's ex-wife never lived in this house, so where did they get our number?

After I received another call from them, I found this web site. I called the Attorney General (listed above). He was VERY nice & very helpful! He told me to write them a letter telling them to cease & desist all contact with us because we have no association to the person they are trying to collect from. Also, to put in the letter that we want a reply in writing that they are going to take care of the matter.

I had never heard of "skip tracing". It amazes me that they thought we would know the whereabouts of an ex's ex or that they would call this number & ask for him like he lives here!

I continue to receive calls from this company even though I have asked and even told them to stop calling my number. They call me at home and also on my cell phone. They call at least once per day and yesterday I told them I was contacting my attorney as they are continuing to harass me. Today they called on my home phone and I even have their number blocked on my service. This is getting ridiculous. I am really sick of this harassment.

Get calls from this place far too often. They never speak to me when I pick up, so I have no idea what they're calling for. From all the posts I've read on the web, they are most likely calling every possible phone number they can program into a computer. Allied Interstate was sued by the AG of MN back in 2005 or so.
They now are a subsidiary of iQor.

Oh, and he's doing just fine, he and his family live in the Corcoran building at 135 Central Park West in NYC. Even has his phone number published in his wife's name - how nice for her.
Good luck everyone out there getting these dogs to play by some rules.

Well they called here. They don't have any right to call someone they haven't done business with. That is the law and they can expect to be sued if they call here again. I already looked up there business address and will file a claim next time. I'll have the sheriffs at their business if the keep this shit up.

they have been calling me for several months now. They insist that they talk to my lawyer because i will not give them my social security number date of birth etc. THey have thretened to take my house and all I own if i do not pay them. They have never once stated how much I owe them, where from, for what, etc. All they state is that I owe and have to pay. They do not even know what state I live in etc. but they want my social security number, address, bank info etc. They leave voice messages but no names. They do not even know who I am. They are just fishing to steal someones identity and should be prosecuted!!!!!!!!!!!
