Ameriloan threatened to garnish my wage - what to do?

Has anyone dealt with ameriloan? I just got a call from them that says I defaulted on a loan from March and they were reviewing the account at 5 pm today. I told them I thought it had been paid and he said it hadnt. I asked if I could call him back tomorrow after I have time to get home and check. He told me I could but I had to call back first thing and pay it off or they would fax the info over to my HR to have my wages garnished. He asked if I had ever been to court for nonpayment of a debt and if I currently was having my wages garnished for anything. Also, if my HR department was in this same office. I told him I had not been to court and was not having anything garnished and I was the HR department. He said thats fine I will just have to verify your income if I dont hear back from you and he would fax that over to my HR dept. My question is, I really think its paid, but if it isnt and I havent heard anything from Ameriloan payday loan. (I swear I havent) Can they call me up out of the blue and have my wages garnished that quickly without ever having notified me? If it really isnt paid. I will be more than happy to pay it but I wont be able to pay it in one amount.

I took out 3 payday loans and I got in way over my head. My checking account is now frozen. However these payday loans have been unable to take any more money for me and I have been able to set up a payment plan with two of them. I am no longer paying finance fees. For a $200 loan I now have to pay off $320. In the long run it would have been less if I just let Ameriloan payday loan take their $60 fee every two weeks. So my recomendation is to close your checking account so they are unable to debit it anymore and call to arrainge a payment agreement.

If you are not sure whether the account is paid, you can check it from your credit report and if the report shows that you really owe some part of it, it's better to pay it off as you said. You can try a consolidation program to make the repayment process easier.

Another place that you would want to check, would be your bank statement. Check around that time to see if the loan had been paid off. I am slowly paying off my payday loans and I defaulted with Ameriloan payday loan two months ago and haven't heard anything not even a phone call. I don't even know how to get in touch with them.

I have defaulted with a loan with ace cash advance - ameriloan payday loan but the only thing that they do is send me letters along with the other four payday loan companies!My suggestion is that you look back and see if they ever sent you a letter in the mail and do what Rhonda said and check your bank statements!but if everything clears then you can justify that and you should be able to clear it up if it is a minor mistake on their part!

Ameriloan not on my credit report and have I looked back on my bank stament and it appears they only took they first finance charge out before I changed bank accounts. So I guess I really do owe it and I have no problem paying it. I just won't be able to pay it all at onc. I've got to call them back this morning. Hopefully they guy will be able to work with me on it. I also looked back and have received nothing in the mail from them. I just don't want ameriloan payday loan faxing anything over to my HR department today. He sounded like he was ready to take it to court yesterday at 5. Now I'm worried.

I will suggest you to send a letter about a payment plan along with some money in advance to ace cash advance - ameriloan payday loan. It will show that you have every interest to pay the debt but all that you need is some reasonable time.

ace cash advance - ameriloan payday loan will work with you with a payment plan. This is one of the few that will actually do a payment plan. Just make sure you get everything in writing and always save proof of payments. Also call their phone number. icon_smile.gif

Is ameriloan a fare company. I have a loan out with them, United Cash Loans and Cash Today Ltd. Do they offer payment plans? I cannot seem to find any phone number for them anywhere. Please advise
