I work with families through a school system. This family lived in Wisconsin and had a violation with the police department- which involved Walmart. She paid the violation in Wisconsin and then received a letter from this "legitimate law firm" if you can call it that asking for $200.00
She asked me to call and clarify who to send the $ 200.00 to. I called them- they were extremely rude and of course said she had to call- which I understood. I asked for the name of the agency- he hesitated but gave it to me - I then asked for his name and his position - he hesitated again but gave it to me. I said a real legal assistant would never talk to anyone like that!
I then called the Attorney General's Office for the State of Wisconsin and they told me they have
3 complaints for this Collection Agency and want copies of the letters sent to my client. I am now going to call the Utah Attorney General's Office and make another complaint.
These people are creeps and
Do Not Send Them A Dime!
The AG's office said they pick on people who have done Pay Day Loans alot. Nice Huh. To those of you who have blogged that you work there- Yuck!
Glad I found Out - Now I can tell everyone I know.
