I am behind with then and no-one talks about them here

I don't have a loan with them, but I think I have seen a commercial on TV for them before. They say they will put $10,000 in your bank account the next day or something, and payments will be $200 a month? Is that the same place that you are talking about? Sounds like a scam to me, but I am skeptical of ANYTHING anymore Smile

It is possible that CashCall uses alias names also for doing business. I guess, they might have been discussed here.

rkai93, tell us more about the experience and see if we can relate here.

no - they are true, although it's more like 2600.0 for 200 a month..still..better than most

I jsut know my DC said they refuse to work with DCs...which has me concerned.

They are licensed to do business in CA..and no complaints on the BBB

I was jsut throwing it out there, asI have never seen a thread on them here

I see! I was actually also going to ask about them, since I had seen the commercial so many times. I'm glad you did...anybody out there dealt with these folks??

I was enticed by Cash Call and took a loan. They gave me 10K when all i asked for was $1000.00. My monthly payments are 256.26 for 10 years at 26% interest..... You sure you STILL want to call them???

I see them on TV all the time with Gary Coleman as the spokesperson (like that is supposed to make it legit). I will admit---I called one time to see what they were about and first off they asked if I had ever filed bankruptcy (I have) and that was the end of that (which was probably a blessing in disguise)!

The only good thing is that they are accepting payments from my debt consolidation company. Initially they called incessantly until I sent a cease and desist letter. Now they leave me alone and have stopped sending me threatening letters about owing the arrears amount.

That's awesome that they are working with your debt consolidation company. I hear of a lot of companies that won't, doesn't that seem stupid??

From what I understand, they only pull your Experian report. rkai93, just out of curiosity, what are you Experian credit scores like? Yes, their interest rates are high, but nowhere near as high as PDL companies.

Avoid at ALL COSTS. These guys are worse than PDL's because you will be in debt to them for years! For instance, I took a $2600 dollar loan over a year ago. I paid $200 a month for a year. Guess what my principal still owed is? $2400. So basically, every month when I write that $200 check, I may as well be flushing cash down the can. Does anyone still think these guys are "way better than PDL's?" No way. Run....and run fast. If you're already hooked by Cashcall, borrow, scrimp and save every penny you can and PAY THEM OFF. Because every payment you make is almost all interest.

I sooooo agree ! I have had my loan with them for 2 years and I still owe 9400.00. Can you imagine after paying two years at 256.26 monthly. I will never fall for that again.

You have paid so much to the company. By this time, your loan should have been fully paid. I will talk with your bank and dispute the charges with the company. They need to send an itemized statement of your loan account. Verify the previous payments and the latest standing of the loan account. If you have paid off the full amount, you need to get a 'paid in full' letter from the company.

Mom of 3 from a mom of 3..... I did the same thing. Only, I found that they did a lot of illigal things, like report me late to credit reporting agencies, unauthorized debits, lieing, unnecessary collection calls when I wasn't late, harrassement, payments not posted to my account etc. If this has happened to you, report them to the California Department of Corporations.
