I am wondering what T and C mean? Also, I used to get payday loans through a company called Quik Payday, then after the new year when I logged in there it redirects me to a site called cash central. Well, yesterday I received a letter and a check from cash central covering my finance charges for this year, because it is against Washington law to offer extensions. How would I go about getting any money back for the last year I spent on finance charges with Quik Payday?. The check says if I cash it my claim with them is released.

Hi Sharon

T&C is a consolidation company that works on payday loans. After you have signed in this website, you will get a call from the consultant for a free discussion. Discuss your payday loans with him and your payment options will be arranged.

Don't cash the check unless you want to increase your loan amount with them further. It seems that Quick Payday has affiliated with Cash Central and they are offering you a new loan amount. You will finally have to pay both of them. I suggest talking to the consultant before making any move further.

When I hit any button on their website except for login where it directs you to cash central I get a page error. I am wondering if they are still in business. I am going to try and send cash central an email asking if they know anything about it. Are you in WA?

Rose, obviously I started something with Quik payday. I requested a refund and received it. The check is not a new loan, but a settlement.. I would either cash it or send them a letter asking for more... my best advice would be to take the money and consider it done.

What happened is that Quikpayday got into trouble in Colordao for not being licensed and has had to pay a few million bucks.. they have subsequently reformed as Cash Central and is only loaning in states where they are licensed. My guess is that they are trying to avoid problems for their new company by settling with customers in states where Cash Central is licensed. I was able get a refund of $500 (the difference between their charges and what they would have gotten if they had followed wa. state law.

I emailed Quikpayday on Thursday 3- different email addresses and faxed them a letter - I haven't heard from them yet. I live in Virginia and they were/are illegal in Virginia when I took out the loan. I wonder if I would get a refund or just paid in full?

oh2benc2, I will send a letter to Quickpayday mentioning about the refund. If they are unwilling to do, you must file your complaints at the local AG's office and other concerned authorities. I am sure they will refund you the amount.
