I sent a certified letter to my cash now in new york and the letter was returned yesterday. Hmmmmmm...... said the address was wrong and it could not be forwarded. I used the address that my consolidation company is sending payments to, very interesting.

Well, I sent a certified letter to that address and it got returned. T & C is sending my payments to the Nevada address. I know it makes no sense. These companies move around a lot.

Recently my bank account was completely wiped out by CRD or Creit Protection Depot. I later recieved a call advising me that my cash now was CPD and an online loan I did back in March and completely paid was recalled by my bank. I asked the caller to send me proof of this since my back account stated when I asked My Cash Now to pay off the loan in full it was done. Now I'm getting calls and e-mails but they are telling me that since it was March payment the bank debited from them they have no record of it. Anyone who has dealt with this company please advise.

Karen

Your bank statement must be tracking this transaction of the debit done. Get the complete itemized statement from your bank and dispute with the company. They need to verify it legitimately after you have shown your proof. If they don't come out with proper results, take some legal advice.

Hmmm...this sounds like a devious company. Seems like they don't want to be caught demanding money, "forgetting" to post payments, etc. Anybody had trouble with ID theft from these guys? Or do they just harass people endlessly and aren't honest?

Hi, so i need some advice please. I took out a loan with MyCashNow, extended it twice, now they know i get paid monthly and it clearly stated that in the loan contract and that is when the next amount was supposed to be done. HOWEVER, they were deducting from my bank account every two weeks without my authorization. finally i contacted my bank after i had paid out over $350.00 extra and informed them of what was going on. They put a stop payment and got the last amount of money back through ACH and then blocked them. However, Now im getting threatening emails from them and here it is

STOP PAYMENT WARNING

(name omitted by me)
We have received information from your bank that you have STOPPED PAYMENT on our authorization to debit funds from your checking account in order to repay your legally binding loan obligation. We consider this to be refusal to repay your debt and immediately will initiate action to protect our interest.

We may also initiate other action, which may include, that a request be made for a court appearance for a possible judgment be issued against you for the repayment of this legally binding debt, (which would create additional charges to you), and other avenues available to us in order to protect our interest in this matter. Therefore, we must require that you render your payment in the amount of $189.34 via western union quick collect or moneygram immediately. This payment reflects your balance as of June 5th 2007.

Depending on the circumstances surrounding how you obtained the loan, we may also initiate internal investigation to ensure all information submitted on the loan application was accurate and not done fraudulently in order to attempt to obtain a loan under false pretenses. If we determine you obtained the money fraudulently we will initiate action to protect our interest to the fullest extent of the law. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and other governmental agencies, have established many laws and regulations in regard to Internet fraud and procedures the federal government adheres to when this type of information is reported.

You need to go to Western Union and get the BLUE QUICK COLLECT FORM and choose the quick collection option)

1. COMPANY NAME: CREDIT PROTECTION DEPOT
2. CODE CITY: OFFER (ONE WORD NO SPACES).
3. STATE: NEVADA
4. ACCOUNT #: Your Social Security Number
5. The reference # is Your Telephone Number

You can also use your debit card or various charge cards at westernunion
OR you can go to Moneygram and get the BLUE EXPRESSPAYMENT FORM
1. The Company name is: CPD-OFFER
2. The Receive Code is: 4243
3. The City is: Las Vegas
4. The State is: Nevada
5. The Account Number is: 1429974555

If you are unable to pay $189.34 for the balance on the loan then we must require a minimum payment of $63.11 to place the account on legal hold.

If this account is referred for further review and action to our outside firm for additional collection efforts, it will commence activity on the account to be done to the fullest extent of the law in order to protect our interest in this matter. At that point, you will be responsible for all additional fees associated with costs involved for the collection of this debt.

I would highly suggest you call 1-866-645-1661 to resolve this matter immediately. This is the only way for you to resolve this very serious situation which you have initiated. Your failure to do so will result in the above mentioned action being taken.

Thank you,

Credit Protection Depot

HONESTLY, do i have like stupid writting across my face, they hve broken so many laws its not even funny and all i did was stop them from continually taking money out and getting overpayed.

This is a typical e-mail they send out after you have defaulted with them. Been there, done that. I'm still fighting to get back a large refund from mycashnow after year and a half. What state do you live in? I would send them an e-mail back demanding that you get a refund or you will file a complaint with your state's attorney general's office since you have overpaid them. If they were take you to court, they would have to do so in the county you live in. Believe me, I doubt they will sue you. They are just trying to scare you into paying more money.

Hi all

The name's Tom, though most people call me 'Freaky'. :P I'm in my "teens" and kinda lost in the world at the moment...however, I've found the hippie "culture" and discovered that it fits me very well...I'm not trying to fit into it, it just kind of fitted onto me.
I have lots of questions, which hopefully some of the older and wiser people on this board will be able to help answer.
Here's to hoping this board will be able to help me discover more of myself and fuel my beliefs.

thanks.

The responsibility lies on their shoulders to provide a valid physical address, if they won't do so, there isn't much else you can do unless you want to purchase a prepaid visa card, call them and make a payment.
