Lynn, monitor your bank account closely and make your bank aware about this situation. They might stop the company from making any of the debits in your account. Also send a letter to the company and request to cancel your loan application. Get it in writing and keep a follow up over the phone.

CarlaW, if there is a need to prove the fact, make sure that you have the email printed in paper. I will also suggest you to do the same correspondence through postal mail also because that sounds more powerful.

I have now become a victim of this scam... I called Cashed today and told them them that they have been satisfied above and beyond my orginal loan amount and they hung up on me. I filed a complaint with my bank today. hopefully they will be able to help me recover the money that CASH Today wrongfully took from me. I wish I would have found this Forum before I took the loan out with them

Jessica, you are not alone here because Cash Today has done such activities on many other consumer accounts. The customer care reps of CTL are also not professionals and they are not bothered about anyone's accounts. Your bank can only give some help to you by disputing with the company on the unknown debits. I will be very happy if you can get the refund from the company. You might also like to change your account number as CTL is having your personal information. Put your complaints against the company at the local AG's office as well as the FTC and the BBB.

MY DEAR AARON, IAN, DARREN & YOGESH,

Everyone is awaiting for your reply on the questions that I have asked you. If Heathmill is not associated with Cash Today or Interim Cash Limited, then why don't you reply my questions?

Angel.

Dear friends,

I am sure hence forth Heathmill is not going to reply any of my questions BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT IF THEY FIRE EVEN A SIGLE BULLET, I WILL REPLY WITH A MISSILE.

The update is that their collections manager Ravi Koyyada and Accountant Shripal Have been deported to their home country.

Please be awrae thet INTERIM CASH LIMITED AND CASH TODAY are one and the same, they have changed the name because there are many court cases pending against them. The main mastermind Aaron Garschfield is bankrupt so he is running the show on somebody else's name. Its difficult to trap them if not impossible....

Angel

believe it or not, of all the payday loan companies that I am working out payment plans with, interim is my favorite. It's like they just don't care. The guy I talked to the other night was laughing and joking with me. Unreal. Maybe they made enough money from me? They're probably about to change their name again because people are onto them.

Can they legally do anything to me seeing that they are in a different country? If my paychecks get garnished I will lose my job. Can anyone help?

JENBORROWED$,

Who called you up – your creditor or a third party collection agency?

Have you signed voluntary wage assignment while getting the loan? If yes, cancel it. Also inform your employer about the situation and ask them not to honor any such request from them.

Wage garnishment is a long process and your creditor has to win a judgment against you to garnish your paycheck. Meanwhile try to work out a suitable payment plan and close the chapter. Payday loans are very very costly.

Thanks for the reply. And to answer your questions, the creditor called me, well what they claimed to be their 'legal' department. And I am not sure what a voluntary wage assignment is.

it is where you voluntarily agree that they can garnish your wages (actually its more like assign them to you creditor) Jen do Three things immedaitely 1) talk with your bank and change your checking account numbers. 2) get thier fax number and fax them a letter stating that 1) you are hereby revoking and presumed wage assignment immediately and 2) state what payment you can afford to make and when. 3) let your employer kow whats up and give them copies of the letter showing the assignment being revoked.

Also, most states prohibit you from being fired if your wages are garnished unless it has happened so often over a given period of time.. and their are serious questions about the legality of Cash today abnd their wage garnishments.. Read the thread stanley gave you it is full of good info, and ask any questions you may have. Pm any of use for help and we will do our best

Hi Angel, Thanks for all your wonderful input.
I was just wondering if Cash Limited goes by other names such as Cash Transfer Centers, Northway, etc. On my closed bank account, I found out that the bank did not close the account for some reason and a few days later Northway Debit attempted to take $315.66, $315.67, and $315.67 on the SAME DAY. The phone numbers that were listed for these companies are 285-662-5213, 285-662-5214, and 285-662-5215. This was on my bank statement. Any idea how to nail this company and get my bank to refund me the NSF fees that added up to $827?
Thanks!

Do not worry about wage garnishment or voluntary wage assignment, Cash today / Interim Cash is just using these words to create a fear in your mind in order to get the money out of you. Their strategy is to keep harassing you at work place and finally you would pay the money cos you don't want to lose your job. If your employer is supportive and you change your bank account, there is no way they can take the money from you. I repeat they do not have any recourse on you as the product itself is illegal.
