They have reduced their calls to me but still contact me at my office. I have taken to answering the telephone and telling them that I am not in the office. When I asked the man if he had my home number, he told me it was not in service. BS! I told him that YES it was in service. They are a bunch of liars.

I have sent them a cease and desist letter through the mail to the Reno address.

Do you have that Reno address. I'm not sure this is the same company.

And is E-Care from Sonic Payday/Coastline Credit that is contacting you?

Cash Today Limited
Phone: 800-680-2177
Fax: 800-690-9926
1005 Terminal Way Suite 110
Reno, NV 89502

Cash Today Limited is who has been contacting me. I don't know anything about Sonic Payday or Coastline Credit. Are they somehow related to CTL?

I don't think Cash Today Limited is affiliated with SonicPayday/Coastline Credit & E-Care.

They didn't say anything being related to each other on the BBB website.

The addresses and phone numbers I provided earlier were for Sonic.

I have also done the same thing related to Cash Today. I have jumped to the phone and told them that I am not working. The guy "Sam Fernandez" tells me that he needs my home number. When I tell him, I am sorry but we don't give out personal information. He says he is the wacko that called me over one hundred times and had an argument with a police officer. Yes, I had to contact the police department to make him stop. They tied up all the hospital lines at my work. I ask if I can take a message and he says that my home phone was disconnected. Funny, when I emailed this company regarding their mailing address someone was able to call me and ask me to call them back. Hmmmm... I sent the cease contact letter and waiting for the receipt to come back. The new question I have is can they contact my payroll department without a court action to get the amount taken out of my pay?

Anyone know?

The post above dated Sept. 10 @ 10:23am was made by me in mistake. I was replying to PMBurk's previous post and somehow it was labeled under him/her. I am so sorry for that.

No, if it is done, it will strictly be a violation of the fdcpa law and you have to consult your attorney.

Thank you! They tried sending something to my payroll department stating I authorized them to take out a certain amount from my paycheck. The payroll department asked me about this and is giving me copies of it. My payroll person has worked in that department for over ten years and has never seen this done. How do these type of people get away with this if it is a violation?

Lack of proper knowledge helps these people to extract money from the consumers. Most of us are not informed about many of the legal aspects and as a result fall in the wrong hands.

If you find any fraudulent activity happening in your account, do take necessary actions

I left a message for my payroll person. I just hope that she didn't take action and take it out of my pay. Thank you again!

I can say that where I work we do not honor wage assignments. It must be a court ordered garnishment in order for it to be deducted from an employee's check. I would definitely keep getting with your payroll department to ensure that they know you do not allow this.

i am so mad @ this company "cash limited". they have to be the most craziest company i have ever dealt with. they called my job today about 20 times in a 5 minute period. i have repeatedly told them to call me at my home and office. they guy that called me in which i do have his name was very demanding and i asked him why is he calling my job when i have specifically told him not to before. he said he needs to take care of my issue regarding a missed payment. i only missed that payment by one day but he was so demanding on making arrangement and i was currently working on a timely project that needed to be done right away. i asked him could i call him back in a little while, he said no and that he needed 3 min. i told i did not have 3 min and i would call him back, he told me that situation needed to be taken care of now, i advised him that if i give him 3 min i would lose my job and he will not get paid. he did not care and still kept talking so i hung up on him. thats when the drama started. he kept calling my job including my cell 8 times and home 8 times in which i was at work so why the hell would he call my home number. i kept hanging up on him after i said do not call my job and he called more and i told the receptionist to tell him i was gone, he then said i just s/w her and where did she go and i need to s/w her now and told her that i owed on a loan which was noone's business. i was pissed. they hung up on him and he started harrasing him and finally the front office manager had to say something to him and he stopped and started leaving harrasment message on my home and cell and said if i don't call or pay i am going to get it and he will continue to call my job and s/w my supervisor and all my co-workers and let them know that i have a loan i refused to pay. that's when i went to the site to pull up companies information because that gave wrong phone number and i saw all these comments made about them and these are recent. i cannot believe that there are so many people going throught the same issue as me. i then call the bbb in nevada 775-332-0567 and she said that the company had 5 cases in which a couple were closed resolved and others closed as unresolved due to several issue including harrassment. i am working to take care of this issue with bbb anyway and whoever else i have to contact. if you have any info please let me know who i can contact. i called cash today and set up payment arrangement and also told them how i would be also taking care of their company and the gentleman i talked was scared and saying it was not me that called you and that he was the good guy. but he is not he was demanding too. he then lied about payment in which i wanted to know about mailing payment since they have severly overdrafted my account and he said they did not have a mailing address. i told him he was lying and he said they have to draft it out my account or pay with credit/debit card.i said i would mail. he said we do not take cash, i said i will pay with money order, he then said it will take 15-20 days to get payment. no where in united states takes that long to mail unless you are mailing it to kalamazoo. i told him he can either take the payment offer to mail or not get paid at all. he then said let me give address in which i already had from this site and i read it to him. he said oh!you do have address and i said yeah i wanted to know how far in lying would you go and i will send payment and file a lawsuit against y0u and i hung up. he then began to call me back but did not leave a message. this company is going to pay one or the other. i know i owe money but there is no law that says i have to get harrassed the way i did. i am currently trying to contact my old boss in which he is an expert in accounting and debt issue and other things like this and knows who to contact. i will keep you posted. let's all work together to take care of this!!thanks

Hi CHYNA26

Welcome to the forums. Harassment is such an easy thing which is often used by the collection agencies and the creditors on the consumers. In spite of the fact that it is a violation of the Federal law, they continue with such malicious activities.

You should use your Consumer protection afforded by the fdcpa Section 806 and sue them up to $1,000

Regards
Roxette
