No one should have to go through what I have and I will do what I need to do to make sure that I can help. The thing is that they were trying to get me fired and it is NOT going to happen. I have an excellent work record with this hospital for over ten years. My reputation has not been ruined. I have numerous people who are behind me that will help me if necessary to tell that it was out of control with the phone calls. I sent something to the BBB also. I am not sure if anything will come because of that. Just trying to help.

BBB and other government agencies can only take actions after it has received numerous consumer complaints. So, I request each and every one who has been suffering without any genuine reasons to file their complaints at the government agencies. I am sure, it will be heard sooner.

I have already paid $554 for a $200 loan. They want me to pay over $500 in addition to clear up my account. I would settle with them for a smaller amount especially after the harrassment and embarrassment I have gone through. I am not asking to get out of this debt right now just to be able to settle with them on a appropriate amount.

well just as i thought, looks like this john mcglamery the deputy that posted his information a couple of days ago cannot do much for this company, i emailed him today to give him so more information to help track down this company but he responded to me with this message:
Thank you for your assistance. The attorney for Leads Global Inc. a
Nevada corporation physically located in Great Britain (Leads, England)
is the true name of Cash Today Limited. The collection calls are not
coming from Nevada, so the jurisdiction of this office is going to be
limited to Nevada residents. Although this office could work to shut
down the mailing address, this office has no power to stop deceptive
trade activities originating from overseas. However, I warned the
attorney about the provisions of the Fair Debt Collection act and the
provisions of Nevada law with regard to debt collection. At this point,
there is little more this office can offer. You are highly recommended
to contact the FTC which will have the ultimate jurisdiction over this
matter.

John McGlamery, Deputy Attorney General
Bureau of Consumer Protection
100 North Carson Street
Carson City, NV 89701

Thanks for the update chyna26. A lot of us may need to check into other companies like this, because the same laws may apply.

I don't think anyone is trying to take out a loan with Cash Today Limited. Instead, they are having problems with your collectors who are calling such a harassing way, that it's not getting anyone anywhere.

I am still waiting for my payroll department to give me a copy of the wage garishment that they took over a week ago. I was able to talk to my supervisor. I was on vacation and then she was. Cashtoday contacted her regarding my unpaid balance. She didn't go into details regarding the conversation but did tell me that she went to human resources. She talked to them regarding the phone call and what happened to me with the hundred of phone calls. They filed some kind of complaint regarding this for harrassment and Cashtoday telling them my situation. Cashtoday told my supervisor and others personal information which is illegal under the fair collection act. It seems that my phone calls have stopped since this. I am not totally sure if it was because of the complaints that have been filed and/or my cease contact letter also. I do have the support of my department and supervisor. I am grateful and lucky for that.

darren webb the person supposedly in charge of cash today limited finally responded back in regards to my complaint, he sent the e-mail to the female who was investigating or examining the claim and copied the email to me, he explained things about my loan to clarify what i owed and also stated that he has put a temp restriction on calls and so on, but he also noted:
As previously explained, we are not bound under the FDCP Act as we are UK based and we are the Creditor, not a Debt Collector.

It is also agreed in the verbal terms and conditions, for which we require a verbal signature, that the loan would be covered solely under the laws of the UK.

so sounds like they are saying that they can do whatever and whenever

Hi chyna26

Did you inquire about the office of Cash Today listed in the BBB which is operating in the mentioned address?

CASH TODAY LIMITED
1005 Terminal Way Ste. 110
RENO, NV

It seems that whenever charged against legal disputes, they bifurcate themselves to the laws of UK. So, what is the office in Reno for?

hi ben,
the deputy that posted his comments a week ago on this site and had been working on investigating, but check my previous comments on page 9, apparently he states that the reno address is just a mail drop and that he could shut that address down but the calls are coming from uk and the only person who might have authority is the ftc. so basically as it seems he cannot do anything about it either. he says that they have employees at the mail drop address which is 1005 terminal way ste.110 but that is not where our problem is

I agree. After your update, I assume that even if the mail drop is shut down, it won't end our sorrows.
