I have attempted calling to settle a debt from a payday company with CRSI. When I call and speak to someone stating my purpose of calling, they are very friendly and nice up until I ask for a mailing address to send my payment. Then I get told I do NOT have the "luxury" of mailing my money in. They quickly try to get banking or credit card info, which I say I do not have. I have been stupid enough in the past to give banking info to these rude collection agencies only to have them charge several different amounts to my bank account and leave me very overdrawn with more "fees" that have to be repaid to the bank because of the collection agency.

I had problems with this company too, during my bankruptcy process. They tried to get $750 from me on an account. They were like it might not be discharged through bankruptcy. They also stated that they NEVER received notice of my filing. I was like your company should have gotten a letter and also you can retrieve the information about my bankruptcy online. I told them that I would take my chances. They said that they were going to take me to court over the account. Needless to say it got discharged through bankruptcy. I have the way CA take advantage of people with threats and such. I love this site! You can learn so much about debt issues.

This does not seem like a reputable company at all. They contacted me a few weeks ago regarding one of the two payday lenders that I am fighting against. They left me a voice mail but didn't state the name of the company. I researched the phone number to find out who they were and sent them a debt validation request via certified mail. I have never gotten my green signature card back yet nor have I heard from them since. I'm sure they will creep back one of these days.

I also dealt with CRS and they were rude. I guess i was lucky though as I paid off the loan with Western Union and also happened to deal with Jeanne Johnson, who was rude. But this has been noted as paid in full on my credit report (I made sure to have it noted that way in my report)and i haven't heard from them since!

For those who have been unable to contact or deal with CRS, there is a Company named Cornerstone Support Inc who provides support to CRS by helping the agency stay up to date and compliant with every state. I have sent them a Cease and Desist to CRS c/o Cornerstone Support Inc and have let them know I will hold them equally legally responsible for any further harassment from CRS.

I have attached a link to their site below. It gives their contact information and all the companies they represent.

I hope this helps!

Sue-what do you mean if it was on online lender they will not take a person to court. I just got off the phone with the rudest person in my life. Not that I don't want to pay my bills, this is one I simply forgot about and they never bothered to contact me for three years and when they finally do they want all $490 in 48 hours. I tried making arangements with them and when they finally agreed to that, it wasn't even an amount I could handle. It was an amount convenient for them. I am a single mom working paycheck to paycheck. I see the item listed on my credit report. Should I contact the online lender directly and cut out the middle man?

I've just checked my credit report and it has some Certified Recovery Systems debt collection of $480/$600. They are both originally opened at some CASH Advance/Unitied cash loan places...never have I stepped into a place to loan out money. Now, its on my credit report as a negative item. I've read all the messages about Certified Recovery Systems and the one listed on my report has an address of :6161 Savory Dr, Suite 600, Houston, TX 77036...no number listed either by 411 operator nor credit report. I need to find out how to reclaim my credit rating back to good.Where should I turn call too?
