Default Is TeleTrack the same as Telecheck?

What exactly is TeleTrack? Is it the same as telecheck?

I was told by Rio Resources that if I don't pay the balance, they will turn me over to the collection agency and report to the TeleTrack. They said if reported to Teletrack, I will be denied check writing privileges at gas stations, grocery stores, and etc. Is that true?

So TeleTrack and telecheck are the same things? I have checked out the TeleTrack website and it did not mention anything about check writing priveleges so I am confused.

It doesnt matter because I am paying off my balance with Rio Resources as agreed (65 dollars) but I want to be educated on this Teletrack thing.

Default Teletrack

Well, They did the same thing to me... However, i still write checks from my new account.. Just not from that account, and it does cause big problems.... It takes a while to get cleared up.. I actually got a teletrack report to see who reported me and where i needed to start paying to... So thats what i did

Missy, Go to Teletrack website and view your account history. You need to order for your consumer report at 877.309.5226

Default Difference

There is a difference, Teletrack is what payday lenders look at when processing your application for an approval loan. telecheck is where merchants report you for hot checks, when you have checks with them, yes you will be unable to write them at other various merchants.

Default yes it does

Good day,

I see this thread is a year old, In my previous marriage, a check was bounced in the year of 1999; I still cannot write checks at grocery stores and I am in a new stae, with a new checking account, not to mention it is 6 years later. I can though, send in checks for payments in places like utilities, car payments - it seems to have affected the POS merchants.

I always thought telecheck was used by merchants to report bad checking accounts and teletrack was used by payday lenders when someone defaults on payday loans. I've been on Chexsystems before and it does stay with you for 5 years, but it also showed that I had a "0" balance because I paid the bank what I owed so I was able to open another checking account.

what a mess. So esentially, chexsystems and telecheck are similar, right? I know that teletrack is sub-prime lenders.
