Default CIC

My fiance was just charged 79.95. He is calling the CIC number now. I do not understsand how they can be authorized to do this. I wouldn't think this is legal. If they do not cancel the charges, I guess we will have to get a lawyer involved.

Deanna,

Contact your bank before contacting the lawyer and see if they can help you to stop unsolicited withdrawals in future. Also browse this entire thread and see what solution others are suggesting.

My husband just got a charge from CIC*Credit report on our joint account. He hasn't gotten a credit report other than once several months ago. I don't know if it was Experian or what. I just recently got mine from Experian but I don't remember them asking for any credit card or bank info....not sure where to go from here?? Should I contact the bank or what? Not only did they charge his (our) account $12, since there was only a dollar in that account we got an overdraft fee, as well. (it's not the main account we use) He's gone right now, in the military, but I have POA for all banking transactions so I can investigate myself right?

Heather King,

I would like to recommend you reading the previous posts in this thread. It will help you understand how to tackle this situation.

Contacting your bank would be the best policy. Explain the situation to your bank and enquire how you can stop unauthorized debits. This will give you protection if they try to hit your account in future. Also ask them if they can help you get your money back.

As per as the POA is concerned, your access rights are defined in the legal papers signed by you. Go through the deed or consult a lawyer of your state in this connection.

I got a "free" credit report from CIC. I too, started getting billed $9.95 every month. Call the 800 number that should be on your statement next to the charge and cancel.

Guest,

Did they really stop debiting your account, after you called them? Why do they hit accounts continuously?

Default CIC Fraud

We got a charge of 9.95 as well and have never heard of this company until now. We also disputed the charges and our bank report it as fraud. AP*9 Businessmax is another one to look out for.

Default CIC Fraud

We reported them for fraud and the bank sent the paperwork for an affidavit. I am hell bent on getting these people as I cannot stand those who rip off the public. Good luck.

Evie,

Contact your bank. You might have to pass through certain formalities to stop unsolicited debits. Hope this helps. Do keep us updated in this matter.

P.S. Have you contacted CIC? How did they respond?

Karmen, did you let your bank know about this debit. Usually, they bank will place a dispute with the company and verify the debit. If the company fails to give the valid info, it must be credited back to your account. Talk to your bank and make them aware about the situation.

they have charged my account from many different locations under different names, one of them is entitled CIC*TripleAdvantage, then another is the CIC*8002202626, I have reported the fraud on the third company that was the original to be billing me, how many different locations, names, reports, do I need to take actions upon?

File your complaint with the local AG's office as well as the FTC and the BBB. These are the responsible and legal authorities where such complaints should be placed. You must request them for some urgent actions against CIC

Default Got an idea

I live in So Cali pretty close to orange. If everyone wanted to donate a dollar or 2 to the gas fund, I would be more than happy to pick everyone up a little of our paint from the bimmers and benzes we've been buying with my keys.
