(800) 220 2626 looks like this is their number from what I can find.
Contact your bank and dispute the charge. Also have them block the ID that the debits are coming through. |

Fine print got me too. The credit reports are free, BUT you have to stop your site membership or they'll charge you. From the website Link deleted as per forum rules - Mike
"IMPORTANT INFORMATION: When you order your free report here, you will begin your free trial membership in Triple AdvantageSM Credit Monitoring. If you don't cancel your membership within the 30-day trial period, you will be billed $12.95 for each month that you continue your membership." |

Three different scams going on. Two credited my account and the third Triple Advantage refused to refund my $ unless I gave them my debit card #, claiming they couldn't credit my account without the info. I told them no; if they could debit my acct. then they can credit my acct. Beware do not give them your info all over again to use it under another name. I told them I will be contacting the AG's office. I was told in the most patronizing way that is my right. So be it........

i had signed up with them you need to call your bank and stop the authorization, your bank should give you a form fill in and they will stop taking money out of your account. I had the same problem with consumer info.

They charged my acct 79.95 and I got them to credit 74.00 back because time had passed between their charge and my bank statement arriving.
The number I called was 888-888-8553. They refused to give a confirm # but 3 days later it was back in my acct. __________________

I checked my credit card account online and saw the $12.00 charge. After reading through this thread, I called my credit card company to ask to put a hold on my account until I called CIC, and was automatically transferred to the credit card company's fraud alert division. Luckily, the company removed the charge from my account and are issuing me a new card so it looks like I am in the clear for now. I had a quick conversation with the person from the fraud alert divsion, and she stated that they have received quite a few calls from customers mentioning this unauthorized withdrawl and are investigating where the charges come from.

the charges come from Experian. Have you ever gone to freecreditreport.com (not to be confused with www.annualcreditreport.com , the FTC's FACT Act request site) and requested your 3 in 1 credit report?? This is a service of Experian. When you click you agree, you agree to sign up for their credit monitoring service for $12.99/month. It can be easily canceled by calling them and telling them to cancel your membership.
FTC has fined Experian for the misleading nature of the site, and they have made a a minor attempt to clarify this, but they still don't make it clear enough. __________________
