I was ripped off by these people too and got my bank to reverse the transaction. I told the bank that I wanted to sign an affidavit for fraudulent activity in my account, and that under Federal Regulation E, they had to reverse the charges. If they don't, report them to your banking commission. Every state has one. Mine is the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Institutions. I did report the bank in order for them to cooperate.
The thing is they go by many names and all are owned
by Experian. Some of the names are: CIC, CreditExperts, consumerinfo.com, Credit Manager,
CIC Triple Advantage, Experian.
Some of their phone no. are:
877-481-6825
800-220-2626
877-481-6826
866-841-6376
888-397-3742
866-673-0140
866-252-8818
I reported them to the FTC, and they basically told me to get a lawyer. I reported them to the BBB, and they basically told me that while they thought the way they advertised was "questionable" they thought that the company did a thorough job of investigating
their own reports! The local news people are the ones that are helping me, you might want to talk to them. But first, file a report at "Rip-off Reports.com" under CIC . There are 1,889 other people, including myself, that filed reports.Hope this helps.
