swylde2, what is the name of the company you are trying to contact, maybe somebody can help you get that info. This is a debt forum, be careful of what you post, you are posting confidential information. (account number) Unfortunately we are not the company you are attempting to contact.

I just called my bank today to pay off a debt that I was reported to Chex systems for and paid it thru First National. Now I'm worried since I've read these! It never showed up on my credit report, but when I went to get a new bank account I was notified that I had been reported. Should I be worried?

Default Dispute

If you dispute or validate this in writing does that start the SOL period over? Also, the one I have fell off my credit report does FNCB or any collector have the right to put something on your credit report?

One answer to both your questions - No

You can ask for debt validation or dispute if incorrect info is given to you. SOL restarts only if you make a payment on the account especially before the breach of the contract.

Once an item has been removed from your file, it cannot be inserted back without legitimate reasons. If the company does it, they must give you proof of why it is done. If they insist to keep negative info in your file without proof, FCRA laws are violated and you can sue the company for the damages.

Default national collection bureau inc,

We received a letter from these people yesterday. It was for a debt to Directv. We have never had an account with directv.
It came in my wife's name with the last name was wrong Williams, versus Williamson. We called and the last 4 of the account SSN did not match my wife's. The person asked why we opened the letter if it had the wrong name.

Do we need to do anything?

Send a letter to the company mentioning that they contacted the wrong person. This is not your debt, hence they should not contact you further. Address the letter to the supervisor of the company.

I had an old account account with FNCB and I just found another address for them:

First National Collection Bureau, Inc.
610 Waltham Way
Sparks, NV 89434
(800)824-6191
When I was sending in my payments, they had told me to mail them to this address below b/c they receive them quicker.
610 Waltham Way
McCarran, NV 89434

I just received two phone calls before 8:00 am.
