I work for f.n.c.b. We have every right to collect on dead beat accounts. Pay your bills people. They won't just go away and neither will we.

Thank you for shareing your thoughts Employee of f.n.c.b. When you say "people pay your bills" you need to be more detailed. There are many people who are here to find out how to pay their bills in a manner that is fair to both parties not just the one.

Thank you,
Luke

Sub: I work at FNCB so READ THIS BEFORE YOU TALK

First and foremost YES FNCB also known as First National Collection Bureau is valid. I work for the agency and we are authorized to collect debt. WE ARE A 4TH STEP COLLECTION AGENCY meaning for all the people on the post who obviously don't know what they are talkin about- that means that your debt HAS GONE THROUGH AT LEAST 3 OTHER collection agencies before ours!!! Of course, if you have a brain, one in debt would know that a COLLECTION agency or bill collector would obviously NOT have a good reputation with BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU because PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO PAY THEIR DEBT!!!! Best advise- if you want us to leave you alone PAY YOUR BILL OR SET UP A PAYMENT ARRANGEMENT, btw Statue of Limitations laws DON'T ERASE DEBT- so please unless you know or work for a collection agency- don't talk like you know the law... have a fun time trying to get a home or anything of importance if you simple let the debt sit!!! And keep in mind if your wondering why you are being contacted because the debt is old that's simply because (and I don't care what all of your excuse are ex. fraud, don't work, lazy, isn't my debt or whatever)you ran your bill up and have been ignoring collection efforts from AT LEAST 3 other collection agencies before we even got your account in the first place. If you claim you didn't do it, you really expect ANYONE to believe that when you haven't delt with this in OVER 7 years, and 10 million collection calls/letters later that it will just vanish- GUESS AGAIN!! The police won't believe that and neither will us. haha One last note, judgement is just around the corner

Vanessa, first of all, what a fake ass name. Get the hell out of here. We need no loser collectors to grace us with their slime. Get a real job, so that you can pay your own bills. ****.

These collectors always attempt to make themselves seem above consumers, like they are all knowing and all powerful. If "Vanessa" truly was on top of her game, she would not need to come here for approval.

Vanessa seems pretty smart....she can count to 4 and has enough deductive reasoning skills to understand that if they are the 4th step CA, then its gone through 3 other CA's already. Impressive!

Junk debt buyers comes to mind.....

I had FNCB contact me about a debt; however, I'm pretty sure it had not gone through 3 other CA's before they got it. I have only been unemployed Since February and don't recall any other CA's contacting me on that particular debt. Maybe I'm confused, though. Of course, after I sent them a validation letter, I never heard from them again. Go figure.

Also, the comment:

"so please unless you know or work for a collection agency- don't talk like you know the law..."

Does that mean only the CA's can talk about the fdcpa, or more accurately, how to break it? I'd be willing to bet a simple cross sampling of the visitors to this forum would prove we know much more about the laws that protect consumers from shady CA's than the employees of those CA's.

I think a pop quiz is in order.

SOL doesn't erase debt... Thats only vaguely true in some states. Most states of SOL for written contracts that run close to or exceed the 7 year reporting period with credit reporting agencies. Usually by the time the SOL has run, most likely the 7 year clock on consumer reporting has also expired which means that the original creditor's trade line as well as any associated collection trade lines would also need to be removed, unless the collection agency had illegally re-aged the account(s) in question.

Sol will erase debts in the selected state with a statute of repose on their law books. I don't recall which states do this but it is a small number.
