I worked for credit partnership up until several months before they closed. The company took up a difficult mission of protecting individual consumers from the big credit card companies. We settled millions of dollars in debt (at an average of about 43 cents on the dollar) on behalf of clients when I was there. The company had occasional management and other problems like anywhere else but they were overall a great employer. I had opportunity to speak with clients and creditors alike.
I know Troy sold his house and sunk all the money back into CP to try to keep the company afloat. The credit card lenders are powerful enemies (see recent bankruptcy reform law changes). Unfortunately the clients who are now completely debt free due to CP will never look for or find this website. Here's the real inside scoop. Troy Hall is an extremely honorable man who LOST HIS SHIRT trying to keep CP running. He truly believed in the mission to represent his clients "the little guys" against the powerful credit and lending industry. He is doing everything possible to assist the clients in getting their refunds from the bar's fund. He never took off with ANY of the client’s money. When it was obvious that the business was about to fail, he actually turned himself in to the state bar and forwarded all financial records with his full cooperation. He is assisting the bar to ensure that the fund has accurate accounting to refund the clients as quickly as is possible. The web site was left up and running so that clients could verify which debts were settled and how much refund they are owed. For those of you who wish ill upon Mr hall and those who worked on your behalf for the company...you are getting what you want more so than you can imagine. Long after the bar has paid you back for your refund balances, the damage done to Mr hall and his family will continue indefinitely. We employees of credit partnership all lost our income as the company folded. While the rest of us have moved on to new careers, Troy remains with no income, financially and professionally ruined, unable to start a life of any kind again until all of this Credit Partnership business is played out. He is still working for you from the other side of his ruined career to help with the refund process. Even if his family recovers financially someday, the guilt of failing in his mission on behalf of his clients will haunt him forever. I am nearly in tears as I write this. This forum is a great venue for clients to find each other and compare notes. Hopefully some of the things I have disclosed here will make you feel a little better. Given what Troy’s family is going through right now (death threats, hate mail, etc), it would be unwise for me to give out my personal information as I have young children at home. However, if there are some specific questions that I can answer that will assist any of you in understanding what has happened and what will happen, I will attempt to do so if I can. I am posting this without Troy’s knowledge or consent and perhaps he would prefer that I did not do this, but I feel obligated to share this information. He may possibly be under some sort of gag order to not contact prior clients. I am not under any such order that i know about. If anyone out there has had some sort of positive experience with CP or its staff or has been helped by there work or their advice...please please post. God Bless, CpFormer PS: Some people posting on this site have actually received some very good settlements from CP. I remember beating up collection agencies on the phone to get the percentage that we got for you about 2 years ago.

Wow, death threats? That's harsh. I think (although I do not know) that most (if not all) of the people posting here are just hoping that Karma get's a hold of his butt and that they get their money back. Which, if what you say is true and he did not intentionally do us any wrong, then nothing should happen. Like I said, Karma is the worst that I wish upon him...I must admit though that most of you have seen what I think his Karma should be...loneliness, broke, alone, etc. which may come true, marriages usually do not last this kind if financial ruin. Like I said, if what you say is true. I'm not sure that I am the only one that feels this way, but I do not have all that much trust for anyone that used to work at Credit Partnership. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me...

The credit card companies are powerful enemies, yes indeed! Thus the reason we went to CP in the first place! We trusted your company to perform a service on our behalf, a service your company "claimed" it could perform. We made ourselves venerable to our lenders and our credit scores all in the name of saving our sanity. We sent our hard earned money every month to a company we were told we could trust, and in the end we were deceived.
Poor Troy Hall might have very well had good intentions in the beginning, but in the end it was all a scam. Ask those people whose creditors were never even contacted in all of the years that they were paying money to Troy Hall and his now debunked company! Why were those creditors never contacted? Why were only the small debts negotiated with most of our accounts, but not the larger ones that grew to be even larger by time all was said and done? And why was it when I called your wonderful and honest company back in May of 05', and specifically requested that you guys go ahead and pay my last large debt at the infamous 90%, I was told that Troy Hall himself would not allow such a large settlement pay-off and that I needed to wait longer? Of course only to find out seven months later that your doors were closed and my money and my 90% pay-off was all gone! Can we say "hold them off as long as possible"? Troy Hall sold his house in Dec 04' to save his business? Perhaps. Then why did his paying customers not find out about this until just now? And why did it take a full year from the time he sold his house to close his business, leaving all of us in the dirt? I'll tell you why! Because he knew that he was not going to be able to save it, he just didn't have the guts to tell his PAYING customers that he had failed. Because lets not forget. Your wonderful boss was still taking our money until the very end, despite his knowledge of his failing business. I don't really care that he lost his house to his failing business. If that's so, then he did it to himself. He could have been honest with all of us from the beginning and we could have moved on to other sources of settling out debts. But no! He continued to take our money knowing full well that he would never do a thing with it other than pay his own debts! So don't you dare tell me that Troy Hall is an honorable man cpFormer, and don't you dare tell me that he "meant well" and had all good intentions to make everything right. Because he most certainly did not! Not where his PAYING customers were concerned at least. Because the only thing he tried to do, at least for that last year he was in "business", would be to save his own ass. You see my dear cpFormer, taking money from people knowing full well that you are not going to be able to perform the service you advertised, a service your customers paid good money for, is called fraud. Plain and simple. If Troy Hall is in financial ruin because of his "best intentions" then he did it to himself. Don't you ask me to feel sorry for him. Oh and that Client Security Fund he so gallantly told us about in that sad excuse of a letter dated December 31st 2005? That's not even a guaranteed refund! And now I not only still owe my last creditor a rather large sum of money, no thanks to Credit Partnership, but I am also currently out a rather large sum of money thanks to Credit Partnership! I'm in more debt now because of this, than what I was when I started with Credit Partnership over 4 years ago! No thanks to Credit Partnership! __________________

BTW, I have that Channel 10 News investigator coming by my house again tonight. His piece on Credit Partnership airs tomorrow evening! He says that he has received complaints from all over the country on our famed Troy Hall. Now we're getting somewhere!

BTW, cpFormer. How did you find this forum anyway? One specifically has to be looking for it in order to find it. hhhmmm?? Are you really a former employee? I wonder.
Also, I am sad to hear that Troy has been receiving death threats (I am not without a heart). I don't commend that sort of behavior at all. Even though I lost money, and even though I am upset about it, it would never be worth anyone's life. I am also sad that his wife and kids have to partake in any of that as well. They didn't ask for any of this. This whole situation is just very sad indeed. __________________

Death threats take things a little far. I see both sides of the story, but I don't think he quite lost his shirt. I do think he IS trying to do right by forwarding everything to the state bar. (This is true, I talked to a lady last week who said they have copies of everything, given to them by someone from CP). I do wish things would have been handled a little better, but oh well.
I have since settled two of my four accounts. One account is actually a credit card. There is a credit limit I pay on, and the other half is just there for me to pay down. Kinda weird to explain, but my credit is being helped ALOT by this. Susie- if the state gets attention from channel 10..(Marti Emerald??), I think they will be doing refunds alot fater than we think. Media tends to speed things along. |

Tonight at 6:00 and 10:00 pm the report with me and Troy Hall will be aired by Thom Jenkens (the investigational reporter) of San Diego News 10.
This ought to be interesting. But like you, Ryno, I do hope that this may speed up the refund process. And yes, even thought he may not have intended to mow us all over, he did misappropriate OUR trusted funds to try and save his business. A big NO NO as Heather stated earlier. He is still a thief in my opinion, that or just a bad businessman with bad business ethics (which are just about the same in my book). __________________

Ryno, yes they interviewed Troy as well a few days ago. Caught him getting out of his fine SUV at his house. Needless to say he was not pleased to see them. And can you believe this? He claims that he has lost everything: his job, his house (which he still lives in mind you), his reputation, and his license. He claims that he is the true victim in all of this. What nerve!
As it turns out. The reporter, Thom Jensen, says that he has received complaints from all over the country, totalling in the millions of dollars, not just the hundreds of thousands like we had thought. Can you believe it? And then Troy also claims that he lost his business due to poor management, and that it was his employees who ran it into the ground. What a puss! He actually had the neve to blame his employees/management for running HIS business into the ground! And where was he during all of this I ask? Playing golf on the 17th hole, I tell ya! Another thing. They interviewed another SD resident (didn't get his name), and the guy had the same story. "Paid off most of the smaller debts, but left the big one behind", "said that he called Troy Hall towards the end of 05', asked him to pay off his last debt no matter what the cost (just like my story), but Troy refused and said to wait". HA! And he's the victim in all of this? What a jerk. BTW, he's living in his house that he sold to his CP partner back in Dec 04'. How nice of a friend/partner to let someone live in your house after you bought it from them. What's up with that? Sounds fishy if you ask me. And, Ryno, the article aired last night at 6:30 and 10:30 pm on Channel 10; here's the link if anyone is interested in watching the video they have posted on the Channel 10 site: 10news.com/investigations/9180358/detail.html. Even thought I'm now Jenny for some unknown reason, it was still me and I got my point across. In the end, I think they served us all justice. Now I only hope that the Bar is able to refund all of our money. Supposedly Troy handed all of the CP records over to them. How nobel a man. NOT! OH MY GOD, I never knew how bad Troy had it. Poor baby!! {sob, sob}. Maybe he should have to move in with his parents...Bad, he thinks he has it bad???!!!! I have had to move in with my parents, one of whom is going through the "change of life", with my husband and two children. He doesn't know what it means to have life bad...granted, I screwed up my own credit, but in order to pay it off soon so we could get a house I moved in with my parents "temporarily". Now my credit is sooo bad, I can't even get an apartment.
And, I knew the name Darren Rysedorph sounded familiar, I never even thought about him being someone from CP, but there it is, on the BBB's website, he is listed as the VP. I know I shouldn't even think this, but I truly would not be sad for TH if something really bad were to happen to him...to blame this on poor management and say he is completely w/o fault is a crock of poop. When business is being performed under your name, you need to be involved in it every step of the way, because it is your reputation on the line. Wonder if cpFormer is still wet  for Troy now that he is blaming the people like her....huh? what about it Jennifer?? Your husband is such a big man, he has to blame the little guys, nothing that happened with his business was his fault. Right? Well I work for an attorney's office and I know that only attorneys are supposed to be able to access client trust funds, so how did the management accomplish that? This business was a complete pile of crap from the beginning, wasn't it? Okay, enough of my ranting and bitc#ing. That video was pure entertainment. |

I take it you checked out the clip? What a complete jerk! And to think I almost fell for this, "feel sorry for me, I lost my shirt on this deal" plea! OH, I'm so pissed! And how dare him make his management people the fall guys. Does he even know how STUPID he looked on the news last night? Gasping for air and acting all innocent. But we know better, don't we Heather?
You're so funny! You go gurl! __________________
