The postcard is just to let you know that they received it and it gives you the case #. Eventually, in a week or three, you will get a letter stating that they can not help you because he is no longer active with the State Bar, and with that letter will be all of the information and an application for the Client Security Fund. What you should do is go on-line and print out the CSF application and have it all filled out and ready to go as soon as you receive that letter.

Hey, on the CSF application, did anyone else mention that Daniel Kodam was an attorney that might "have information concerning the facts of your application?" I did andI was just wondering if anyone else did. Let me know.

NO! And I should have too, darn it. But you know what? I have a feeling that the authorities, whomever they may be, know that Daniel Kodam is/was somehow involved as well. I mean, after all, he was one of the atty's that Tricia Dortch (of CP client services) inquired with about my last debt in May of 05'(you know, the one BIG debt they never paid off and then took off with all my money?). Mr. Kodam can not possibly be all that innocent in this matter, puleez!

the more I think about this, the more I think about going to court, and filing a lawsuit against him. The state is going to take forever. Hr. Hall was married within the last 2 years, he's got assets. I'm a contractor, and filing liens on property is alot easier than one thinks.

Ryno, you may be right about that, but does anyone even know where this guy is? I thought I had his address, but now I am not sure. I just found something last week that looks like they may have sold their house. All I know about now is their timeshare.

Well, unless the guy packed up his family and moved to the nether regions of Siberia, we'll be able to find him. That's what PI's and skip tracers are for. If we do get serious about suing him, I'm sure whatever attorney we hire will have a plethora of ways for finding our Mr. Hall. He can run, but he can't hide. That is unless he goes under an assumed name, stops all charging on his cards, stops using his SSN, etc. But somehow I doubt he can refrain from that type of activity, considering his past spending habits and all. And I can only imagine what his wife thinks of him now; her princess lifestyle down the toilet. Bummer.

Count me in to testify and back any lawsuit whenever necessary... I have all my paperwork and proof of the $5600 they stole from me.

I called the number back, left him a nice message asking him to call me. The message is asking for a case #, and he'll call back, maybe regarding the open Bankruptcies he was doing. Anyone heard anything from CSF?

That is my question also, I mailed in my CSF application a little over a week ago, is there a time frame for when I should be expecting to hear back from them? Has anyone recevied a response to their application?

I overnighted my application on February 7th and received a letter from the CSF on March 2, assigning a case number. It also states that "if the lawyer involved in your matter has already been disciplined, your application will be reviewed in the order it was received in this office". "However, if the lawyer involved (Mr. Hall) has not yet been disciplined, your application will not be reviewed until the discipline matter is resolved". "Any questions regarding the discipline complaint status should be directed to the person handling your discipline complaint".

Now tell me if I'm wrong. But the letter I also received after filing my discipline complaint to the State Bar against Mr. Hall stated that they would not pursue action against him because he resigned. So where does that leave us? I feel like I'm getting the run around by these guys. One says you have to file a complaint with the State Bar, the other says they can't do anything because he resigned, and yet the CSF says they won't do anything until the complaint against Mr. Hall results in discipline by the State Bar. In other words, they won't discipline him because he already quit.

No wonder Credit Partnership sent all of us that letter saying they were closing and that we needed to file for refunds through the CSF. He already knew that the State Bar would do nothing because he was going to resign! This is all a bunch of garbage if you ask me. No one wants to take responsibility here. So it looks like maybe we, as a united front, need to take matters into our own hands and sue his butt off through legal means. I say we hire an attorney! Someone who will do all of this nit picky research for us, and take a stand for us against this crack pot system and Mr. Hall. The State Bar is a joke. The CSF is a joke. They say "bring your complaint here" but then when you do they say "sorry, we can't help". What the??? I am so DONE with this BS waiting game. Anyone else? Because I tell you, the longer we wait the farther away Mr. Hall will be able to get (with all of OUR $$$).

Hey Susie this may make you feel a little better. I just got off the phone w/ the CSF people and asked them what they mean by the letter that they sent you. It actually turns out to be a good thing that he resigned. According to the girl I just spoke w/ she says that the CSF application can not proceed w/o the Complaint process being resolved, and since he resigned the Complaint process IS resolved. All of our CSF applications are going ahead. So do not despair, I think we should all be getting back at least some (if not all) of our money.

I just mailed in my Application on 3/10, so maybe my letter will say something different (it's supposed to be in the mail already) I will let all of you guys know as soon as I get it if it says something different.

Thanks for the info, Heather, you put my mind at ease (for the time being). I guess I should have probably called them myself as well instead of getting all huffy on my blog. Could you tell I was a little frusterated? Sorry.

But thanks for your research. It will certainly benefit all who participate in this blog group. So I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope that something positive will finally turn out for all of us here (and for everyone else who has yet to join in on our fight). My best to all of you!

Hey, that's what we are all here for, isn't it? Support. I hate to admit it, but I probably would not have filed a Complaint or an Application w/ CSF if I had not found this Site and stopped feeling so alone. Comradery is a great thing to have in a situation like this. Not that I'm glad that it happened to all of you also, but I just like not feeling so alone. This is my own little Troy Hall Support Group.

Hi-
I was just turned onto this website and the numbers of people who have had problems with credit partnership. I have also used them for 4 years and over $13,000.00 was taken out of my account- with only two creditors paid. I have contact the State Bar and submitted a complaint..they told me he resigned and since I have sent in copies of everything to the Client Security Fund...so I'll see what happens. Since doing so I did here back and they sent an offical letter telling me the same as everyone else who has done so...I would hope with this many people submitting claims- they would have a clue of this truly being a real case!

I would say I agree that if we do stick together we can get our rightful monies owed...it's just going to take time and persistance.

I have since hired a private investigator for more information regarding Mr. Hall to see if it is worth pursuing a class action suit.. a small investment for what the cost of things is turned out to be.

i have found all the information posted very helpful- and will be checking this regularly for any changes-

Maureen
