Does anyone know this company Credit Partnership LLC? I was having my debt managed through them and then they all of a sudden disappeared! Their website creditpartnership.com is now unaccessable and the phone number (877-202-8500) is disconnected. Any advice?

Hi King Benny
I must advice you to file a police complaint against Credit Partnership and get an affidavit from them. Send this affidavit along with your complaint to the attorney general's office in your area.
As the company had been doing business in your area, they must be listed with the AG's office. After you have placed your complaint with them, investigations will be done on a serious note. Those who have been doing business with them should also file their complaints so that actions can be taken quickly.
Keep all the documents through this company in safe place. You will need it at a later stage for bringing the matter to the court.
Contact your creditors immediately and explain the situation to them. Since you are not responsible for them disappearing all of a sudden, your lenders might make new arrangements with you. Show your payment receipts that you received from the management company. Pay the remaining balance and clear the account so that your credit report is not affected.
You should also file your complaint against Credit Partnership with the FTC and the BBB. They also need to be reported about this matter so that other consumers are protected from this company.

Dear Ben,
In your response you advised me to file a police complaint. Should I just call up the police station and tell them I want to file a complaint against a business? The last time I checked, Credit Partnership was approved by the BBB. Should I contact them too, or just go straight to the police?
Thanks,
KB

No matter if a company is approved by the BBB, their fraudulent activities should be immediately reported to the concerned authorities.
You mentioned that Credit Partnership has suddenly disappeared. So, how will you contact them? Go to the police station and file a complaint against the company. The local sheriff will give you an affidavit in writing and it will serve as a proof of your actions.

It is very important to file the report in person. Be as accurate as possible and be sure to list events as they occured. Also be sure to include names of every person you ever dealt with and all cash transactions and proof of receipts. The more info you have, the better off you are.

Royal, follow the suggestions posted above and know how to fight back against credit partnership.
The AG's office in your state must be having many complaints from others regarding this company. Keep in touch with them so that you are updated with the latest.

I have been working with creditpartnership for the past three years, they cleared two of my debits for me, but the third one they never did, they just disappeared. I don't have any paper work from them(I contacted them through email only, and through their web site), I just have a check of about $4000 written to them to prove I gave them money. What are my chances of getting that money back.

Eric, now that the company is no more in business, only the local AG's office might make some arrangements for the people who have done business with credit partnership.
Put your complaint against credit partnership with the law enforcement agencies in your state as well the BBB and the FTC. You might have to wait for some time till the arrangements are made.

I too, have about 3500 with Credit Partnership. The last address I have for them is on Kalmia St. In Murrieta. I also have all my bank statements from the debits. I'll be going after them for everything I can. Like others said, the state attorney generals office must be hearing complaints. How about Mr. Troy Hall, the Attorney behind the company?

I as well have about $4700 with them!!! I received information about filing with the CA State Bar "Client Security fund". Because I received a letter from Credit Partnership about recovering my money from that organization. Is there other steps I should take as well as the ones aforementioned in the posts?

Monitor your bank accounts and credit report very closely. It might happen that the company will try to do some fraudulent activities in your personal checking accounts. Being proactive is the best way to tackle with this situation.
Apart from that, you also need to file your complaints with the concerned authorities like the FTC, BBB and the state attorney general office. They must have received large number of complaints by now and might be in the process of taking legal actions against Credit Partnership. Hope there is a fair chance of some restitution.

I too received a letter on Jan 5 dated, Dec 30, post marked Jan 4, from Credit Partnership stating that they were closing. Even though they did pay three of my smaller debts over the course of 3 years, my biggest one for over $2K was not paid (as I asked in May of 05') because Mr. Troy Hall, who owned Credit Partnership, advised my debt counselor that they would not settle for a 90% payoff; which is what my creditor at the time was requesting. Credit Partnership closed their doors taking $3K of my money with them.
The letter received from them does state to contact the CA State Bar, however, after looking up how to do this on the CA State Bar website; it's not easy task. You must first file a complaint with the Bar and then, IF it's approved (which could take up to a year) then you need to file for a refund through their Client Security Fund. Even so, the burden of proof is upon you. You must have proof that you were defrauded and that you are owed money.
Thank you, however, for the other suggestions to contact the AG and BBB, and filing a police report. If we all stick together and fight this one, something is bound to happen in our favor!

Here's the address to the Riverside Co. District Attorney's Office. The last address I have for Credit Partnership is in Murrieta, right down the street from the DA's office. I am also calling the San Diego county DA tomorrow, to see what action can be taken. I figure just from the people here, they took well over 20k. Let's all come together and get our money back. This is rediculous.

The saga continues...be sure to check with the CC's that you still have outstanding debts with! I called one of my CC companies to get a balance because I was going to switch to another debt consolidator to take care of my remaining debts. Turns out, one of the companies, "Investment Retrievers" was NEVER contacted by Credit Partnership and was in the middle, and I mean when I called they were in a meeting, to sue me. I had to do some quick financial plotting and now I have to pay $1500 on the 10th of Feb and 2 monthly payments thereafter. Also, another debt collection agency that had been listed on my Credit Partnership balance sheet had stopped representing the original credit card I had a balance with. And had done so almost three years ago! Does someone think a class action suit may be in order here?
