For all you people who "claim" you work for CFG and for all you people who say "Pay your debts", I am a relative of someone who has "an issue" with them. CFG has no right harrassing me. I'm not the one in debt. I'm not the one who has missed payments. I will be glad to take your company to court so you lose your job. Then when you can't pay your bills and creditors start harassing you and your family, you'll get a taste of the crap everbody on this forum had to deal with.

They called me last week, after making $100 monthly payments to N.E.S. for a Bank of America account for almost a year, they sold it to C.F.G. The man was reasonable with me, offering a 50% settlement or payments of 330 a month. That is higher than I was paying but his tactics were allright. Thank God, I am able to come up with the settlement in full, but at least they offered me a payment plan. Some people do not. I wish that others on this board would've had a nicer representative like I did. I know they are all pretty scary, though. Best of luck to you all.

Okay, if I'm reading you correctly, you have already settled the account through series of payments with N.E.S, right?? Haven't you settled for 'paid in full'?

You have come up with the amount they have been charging, fair enough, but have you not recognised that you'd be paying twice for the same account?

If you have the money to pay twice for an old account, I wonder, how have you defaulted in the first place?

You'd just be taking your money and tearing it in half before throwing in the street. You didn't borrow from them, you borrowed from a bank and did't pay and this is a suckers group just trying to collect on the debt. If you can pay, pay the bank you originally borrowed the money from after working an arrangement (with the bank only). If not, by a $100 bankruptcy kit and file listing every crediitor or caller you ever dealt with. Yes, your name will have bankruptcy on your credit reports for 10 years. SO WHAT! Do you want more credit - NO! Do you need more credit - NO! Can you rent vs buying in the future - YES! Ohhhh, what a great feeling it is to be debt free!

The debt has been written off by the bank and charged off as a tax deduction! It's gone! CFG are just bottom feeders trying to scrap by hiring losers who do telephone calls all day long. BTW - didn't the U.S. outsource that business years ago to other countries paying them less than $5 a day. Maybe that's what these Mr. so and so's at CFG make? All people have to do is file for bankruptcy -- an easy task -- and get a new start on life. I encourage all to do that! Let learn from your "CFG" experience and live debt free, below your means, and find the joy in life! Goodbye CFG

These guys are out of control. I know I owe them but calling 10 times a day does not help me all it will do is get me fired so I cannot pay anyone. What do they think...I won the lottery in the 15 minutes from their last call!!! Now they are telling me that "something really bad is going to happen to me". What does that mean? Are they sending someone to break my knee caps? I'm a little worried.

These people are collectors. They keep calling my # looking for this person. I called them to tell them this person is not at this number. They are insolent. They called me a lier, they lied about this account and they hung up on me. If I get another phone call from them I will call the phone company for harrassment. I don't think I have ever had such disrespect from an agency.

I spoke to a man today from creditors financial group, he said he was going to file civil suit on Monday if I did not make a payment or pay off my dept with them, that Best buys sent to them to collect, He told me they were going to file judgement and tap my husbands wages, suspend my licence if this goes to court. So I am at fault for ignoring the bill but when you can not meet their requirements and they do not except what you have to pay, What am I to believe. Can any one help or had this happen to them.

for one they can't file a judgement.they would have to sue you and win.if they did things legally then you would have your day in court.they can't just do the things they say they will do without a court date.two they can't suspend your license.only secretary of states can suspend or revoke licenses.they don't suspend licenses for non driving related debt.i would fire off a DV letter certified mail return receipt asap.

Paul is right, it's against FTC Act to threat anyone about a lawsuit. Is this their first contact? Have you sent them the debt validation letter? If you haven't, please do it immediately as Paul has mentioned.

I dealt with them, I tried to pay off my debt, but at the end by mistake I send more money that I was supposed to sent, it's been more than a month since I was told they would send it back to me, no answer, every time I call them they just don't pick up the phone. What Should I do?

I don't think there is much other than legal way can be done once they have the money. Hope you have both the settlement agreement and bank statements to prove that you have paid them more than the agreed amount.

Thank you. CALL ME YOU HAVE MY PHONE NUMBER~~~
