How much did you overpay? And what proof do you have? Those two answers will suggest a logical course of action.

WOW, how do they get away with this crap. They called my preacher, and told them that my wife had filled out an application, and would be happy with the results of her application. Even told the Preacher, that he was with The Aurora Group and left a Phone # and extension # for my wife to call. She never filled out any application for anything. Also where do they get the right to call your neighbors, using some sort of address listing to get close neighbors. The Preacher lives right across the street. After I talke to Emanuel at CFG and told him not to call the preacher again, he said he would still call the preacher and all my neighbors. Called me an old dryed up man, and said I was a bum. Vietnam Veteran, and recently laid off in Construction. I'm not a deadbeat, how can they get away with this. Please respond with any help and suggestions. lokkop @ sc.rr.com

Yes, the will stop calling, but now they have a right to sue. Please research this before sending a C&D.

that is why you put in the proviso that they only commincate via the USPS.yes a total C&D only applies if the debt is out of SOL,and can't legally be sued on.

I was contacted by these people also. They were very accusatory and demanded I pay my bill of over $8,000 for a Credit Card through Bank Of America. I have no such card.

I was told that I have an alias, was from a different city and was not truthful in how I told them my name was spelled. I was told that all of this information came from Experian. I checked experian and none of the info was there. I called them back to confirm they had tha wrong person and they hung up on me. They called me back and said Bank of America (BOA) wants their money. I called BOA and they confirmed I have no debt owed to them.

After 8 hours, I spoke with the manager again, Ray, who AGAIN read off the specifics of the debt and AGAIN my name was not spelled correctly and lo and behold, the first 3 digits of the SS were not the same as mine.

Now I can return to bed with the flu and and they can go to, well, wherever people like them spend their down time.

ARGH!!!

I have been recieving calls from this company for months. I have no debt issues, no problems at all. I reported them to the "Do not call register" also. Today for the first time in months of calls at 3 times a day they had a new message with an extension. Previous calls did not have an extension, only recordings when I would call back. I called, a man answered, I refused to give him any information but the phone number to remove from their list and he told me my phone number is linked to 5 people (all of whom I do not know) are using my phone number on applications. ARGH!!!!! He was not polite, but either was I. He assured me he removed my phone number...time will tell. My only other solution is to change my phone number. I do not think this company is trustworthy, so beware before doing business...................

i have been dealing with CFG since august. my grandmother had passed away, and one of her credit cards had been sent to collection. they had told me that i could pay a minimum of $50 a month. so i said ok. they have called neighbors, relatives, sending faxes to my job, calling multiple times a day from many different numbers. i spoke to someone, and as soon as i told him i was 21 and had to pay bills. i wasnt going to be specific about what kind of bills, because i'm not going to get that personal with a collection comany. he then gets an attitude with me, and i calmly say "i dont understand why youre giving me an attitude, i never once gave you an attitude at any point of this conversation" he then tells me that im lying to him, and then tells me about my bank activity, and claiming that my COLLEGE CHECKING account is really an estate account. the money that i have been recieving in my account is from one of my grandmothers policies that she had put me as her beneficiary when i was 12 years old. im only 21 years old and have no parents, and they dont understand that im trying to afford school and hes trying to tell me that the money isnt mine, its theirs, and that i have no right to use any of it. im so frustrated that im planning on paying the full balance, even though it's going to mess me up in the long run, because these people have me so stressed that i cant sleep at night, and i'm only able to eat one meal a day because i have no appetite. during the conversation i gave him the phone number to the life insurance company, and he said that he will call back tommorow in a conference call with them. as im typing this, i get a call on my cell phone from one of their phone numbers, and before i can even answer, they hung up. this is pure harassment and its making me sick.

OK, here is the deal. I place into custody applied on like a hundred websites next to vindication of a credit but they all flag me in second of miscellaneous reasons. A drawing lots of these sites colloquialism 100% accepted excluding I don't rile anything. Ideas?

Thanks to you all. This blog has really been an education for me. I've been getting calls from 877-298-2251...But, I no longer answer calls that are toll free or without names. I've been trying to work payment plans that I can afford with the creditors that I owe, but not with the collectors. I had simular experiences with a different collector to the point that I just quit answering their calls in case I might say something I might regret later.

I've been paying Creditors Financial Group for about a year and for some reason they have not cashed me last 2 month's payments. Does anyone know if they have been merged with another company or have gone bankrupt?
