I am now registered. Could you help me with the T&C contact info. Is there a website or phone number. I am up to my eyeballs in debt from payday loans, mostly small ones but the finance charges have added up.

Thanks.

jordanfox, talk to your employer and make them aware of the Sonic's illegal intentions. Sonic might send a wage assignment to your employer and they will simply have to disapprove it by not out money from your pay stub.

You need to send a revocation letter to Sonic's mailing address and a letter of 'notice of defense' to your employer. Make sure that you have sent these letters through certified mail with return receipt requested and have everything documented in a file.

Sonic will pretend not to work with your consolidation company at the beginning but after a certain stage, they will agree to it. Ask your consolidation company to keep sending the payments. Sonic may not be willing to accept it and return it back to you. If the matter is taken to the court, the judge will understand that you have been trying to pay the debt and it was Sonic that was not working with you. This will make your case stronger and force Sonic to accept the payments from you.

I guess the matter won't reach so far and Sonic will take a lighter turn. Talk to your employer and let them not deduct the money from your payroll department.

david...do you have a "draft" notice of defense letter. And the address i have for sonic is a P.O. Box , can i send a certified letter to a PO Box.

I just want to know how they can go after my new employer? How can they find this information out, especially when my bank account is frozen, and I no longer work at the emoployer they have on file.

Thank you for all your help

Sonics Us addresses are forwarding addreses. You need to file a complaint against them with the BBB, FTC, States Attorney General Office, and the Consumer Protection Office in your state.

Jordanfox, read this page carefully and know the process of revoking the wage assignment. You need to send a revocation letter to Sonic and a notice of defense to your payroll department. All the details have been explained in this link.

You can address Sonic at

Sonic PayDay
P.O. Box 1209
Oaks, PA 19456

Well... I had many payday loans and ended up defualting on them... all were willing to work with me and make payments and they are all now paid off with the exception of Sonic who simply refuses to let me make a payment other than in full. They recently sent a package to my employer asking that they pay them. My employer basically told them to go screw themselves without a court order. I then called them and told them that they can either "A", accept a few payments from me, or "B", sue me and still only accept payments from me through wage garnishment through the court system. By law they can only take "up to" 33% of your income and there are many exceptions to this rule allowed by the courts... I say screw Sonic! I don't care either way! They wont work with me, so I'm not working with them... either way, they are still only going to get payments! I realize this will cost me a little more in the long run and I would have a judgement on my credit report, but so what! I already own my home and have a new car!

Sonic is going under several names now and they are being investigated in Canada. They are very hard to work with. They will try every trick in the book to get their money back. DO NOT let them intimidate you. Send them a wage revocation letter by certified mail with return receipt. Their is alot of us in the forum that has/is dealing with Sonic and you will find that other people will help you with their suggestions on how to handle Sonic.

I am actually seriously thinking about filing a law suit against Sonic for all the illegal tactics they have used against me. They have been quiet since I have file complaints against them. I received something from PA AG's office last week stating that they will investigate the matter further. I updated my complaint with my state's AG's office a few weeks ago and sent another nasty gram to Sonic last week or the week before. My file is so big on them right now. They haven't responded to my complaint that I filed against them with the BBB but that's no big surprise. I want to see this company shut down. They just don't give up on their idle threats to people.
