Sub: #1 Sonic Payday not accpeting payments from T&C

We recently went into debt management with T&C and my loan from Sonic Payday defaulted because we closed our checking account. I wondered if anyone has had luck dealing with them. They have called me two or three times in the last 2 days and say they are unwilling to take payments? Can anyone share their experience? Any advise would help. Thanks, I hope everyone that is reading these boards realizes what a mess payday loans can get you in.

Sue,

Once you have put the account of Sonic in the management program, your consultant should deal with Sonic and ensure that you don't get any calls from them.

Talk to your consultant and request him to give you the update on your account. You need to know whether Sonic has accepted the payment from you through the management company.

We haven't made payments to Sonic yet. I was wondering if anyone had dealt with them through a company like T&C and what had happened? (Please don't change the subject of my message to what you changed it to, it's very misleading this way.)

although this has nothing to do with what sue was asking, i thought i'd let you guys know that ca's will not always work with debt consolidation companies. collection activity can still continue against debtors who are in dc programs.

actually i am not 'so wrong.' please note i did not say ALL collection agency won't work with dc programs. nor did i say collection activity will ALWAYS continue if a debtor has an agreement with a dc program. the company i work for (which is 3rd party collections) will NOT work with any dc program. and if a debtor notifies us that they are working with such program, we advise them it won't stop the collection activity against them and they should make payments to us.

Are you indicating to all the collection agencies that don't work with debt consolidators or some specific ones? This company that has partnership with other debt consolidation companies handle bills in collections and the consumers are not called after they get enrolled in the program.

Ok, you made your post while I was writing to you.

So, it means that your agency specifically does not work with debt consolidators. But you have not implied this statement for all other collectors.

sorry if my post was confusing. my particular company will not work with dc companies, nor do we cease collection activity in that case. personally, i would try to contact the dc and see what kind of payments we will be getting and how often. i would then *try* to take that account out of active collections and monitor the payments.

Does anyone currently have payments made to T&C for payday loans? If so, how is it working?

We just started with T&C and everything seems to be going well. I just made our first payment today and we had a ton of payday loans. Suprisingly, most of the companies seem to be working with T&C, at this point Sonic Payday is one of the few we aren't sure about.

Sue,

Are you getting the monthly statements from the T&C showing the break up of your money sent to the lenders? This way, you will be sure that the money is going towards your debt account.
