I know BBB won't do anything, but at least you'll have a complaint
lodged against the company. When viewing your credit report, there
maybe discrepancies. You'll have to deny those, and if this is
something you know about, and that you have paid...then a complaint
would need to be lodged.

I never got a call-
She did tell me that on Friday or Thursday of last week they were trying to push for an extension of discovery! Which means they need more time to get more evidence or what not together. So she said if they get the extension then there will not be a hearing on monday, but if they declinded the hearing i would recieve a call on Monday at 11. Never got a call
I called her and left a messgae but she didnt call me back.

Ellis and Crosby must be thinking of ways they can get out of this. Ways to make up excuses about how you can harass people
There is NO excuse for it.

Katie,
Thanks for the update. Let us know if you hear anything further from Summer! I've left her a message as well. I wanted to make sure she received my affidavit.

I spoke with Summer on Friday (because ECA called me yet again), and asked her about the court case because she had asked if I could give a deposition via telephone on Monday, Sep. 12. She said ECA's attorneys filed a motion that the state not be allowed to offer telephone depositions, so a continuance was filed till Thursday, Sep. 15......she is going to try to line up people that are close to the Jacksonville area to testify in person...so I guess we stay tuned! Blessings, Melissa

Thanks for the update. I bet EC doesn't want telephone depositions..that could easily go into the 100's and I'm sure he doesn't want that much evidence!

Was he able to get it granted for no telephone depositions? Or will we not know that until Sept 15th?

I'm suprised they just don't hop you on a Greyhound for that $39/roundtrip special I keep hearing so much about. Maybe that's just in our area...but heck..

it sure would be worth having everyone there. Too bad it can't be televised on CourtTV. Maybe it will. Who knows?!?/

Well this isn't going to be an open and shut case. This is probably going to be a 3 month trial or longer.

There is a lot of evidence to go through...

You can go ahead and pay. I would only recommend paying certified check. The bank will type type the info in for you, and can even put a small paragraph as the memo. In any case...however you pay, make sure it's a money order, check, certified check, and you put the account number, and put paid in full.

I would also suggest typig a letter, and list all the checks, acct#'s...etc. Something like...regarding our phone covnersation on 01/08/2005, I am sending in 3 checks...one for bla bla..

this will bring all my accounts to a zero balance and will be reported to the credit bureau as paid.

Send that letter plus your checks, signature apon arrival (certified mail). This will at least prove that you have paid.

Seem like the money gram system isn't working for most.

I'll be taking my afternoons off if this does appear on Court TV..haha.
