My husbands Dell accounts were with Encore at one point. After sending several 'validation request letters', they turned the accounts back over to Dell. guess they didn't have what it took to fight me on it. Be strong with them and don't whimp down---thats the ones that like. shirley

Sprint turned me in for not paying our bill. I has stopped my service due to me going to another provider. I was waiting for the end bill to arrive. After one month I received a phone call from Encore. I paid 181.10 to them but the other 39.86 had already been paid to Sprint. I told them this. I keep receiving harrassing phone calls as well and a lady named Mrs. Witt was horrible to me. She told me I was a loser cause I didn't pay the bill. I did and I have proof that they cleard but she told me that I ahve to take this up with Sprint. Of course, Sprint conveniently doesn't have any of the payments that I paid. I had to fax a copy of both checks to Sprint. However Encore won't let me send those copies to them to show the proof that the bill has been paid in full and I don't owe any money at all.
Please help I don't know how or who to turn to to get it off me and stop the phone calls.

Tammi, talk to a debt counselor or an attorney if you can't fix this problem on your own. This problem is due to lack of information between both the companies. It will get solved once your files are updated. Do a free registration in this website and a counselor will call you back. Discuss the problem with him and he will help you in fixing it.

your staff is very rude. they do not identify who they are and call multiple times. I know the call is coming from your folks and they need to cut it out!!!!! I am placing a complaint with the PSA since you are violating my civil rights. someone has used my phone number and now I am receiving harrassing phone calls!!!!!! I will enter into a class action suit if this continues!!!!!!!!!!

I know, people working in Encore Receivable Management are full of jerks. Call them directly and put your point to them. Send a cease and desist letter in their mailing address to cover your legal basis.

If Encore does not follow the federal law of cease and desist communication, ask your neighbors to take actions against them on legal grounds. Consult an attorney specializing in fdcpa violations. The collection agency must compensate for each violation after you win the case.

Encore will ignore the cease and desist letter. I sent 4 of them and they stated that they don't have to obide by the letter or the fdcpa because they do in house collections for Capitol One. After we hired a lawyer against them, I received a sappy letter from Capitol One stating that they apologize for the conduct of Encore Receviable Management. They werent sorry, they were sorry that they got caught.

Hello!

I have to jump in here. I want to help you all out, because I see soooooo much law breaking and deceiving going on here.

http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com...dealingca.html

I say: Mr. CA, I'm not fighting or dodging you. I'm gonna make you validate. If you refuse to validate and you send another letter or phone call, I WILL sue you!

Tammy, it is past time for you to sue sister! Gather your evidence and head to the court house!

Mom of twins, well done my good and faithful sister! I look forward to hearing about what you will spend your settlement money on. Paying off a debt that's really yours and is validated by the OC? Perhaps some new clothes for the kids? Maybe a night out with you hubby?

Friends, you owe it to yourself to learn the FCRA and fdcpa. Especially the FDCPA! Sue these companies that are harrassing you. They deserve it for breaking the law. Besides, do you know why congress created the FDCPA? You can read it in the Act itself: to keep debt collectors from harrassing people and breaking up marriages.

A call to arms! A call to arms!

Demoncasterouter, here is some fun forum trivia that I'll be you didn't know!

The two members you just responded to, Tammy and mom of twins... are actually the same person! She just used that screen name before she officially signed up, then changed it twice since!

I have read those posts earlier. Tammy, you have now become much more confident and stronger in your approach. Now we can handle these slimy collectors who have no good intentions but to threat us. Nothing to worry. There illegal activities are now uncovered and they just can't continue with that anymore. We just have to stay strong.
