Most of us go through hard financial times. It is a common belief that famous people usually don't have to go through such times. If you think so, you are wrong. Even if they have to face such problems, it is not known to most of us. Check out the following people and know their money related problems.

  • Thomas Jefferson owed, adjusted for inflation, $10,000,000 before he died.

  • Abraham Lincoln had to sell off his surveying tools in order to pay off his unpaid bills.

  • Daniel Boone was forced to move out of Kentucky after he went bankrupt. Later, in 1788, he resided at Point Pleasant on the Ohio River. Today, it is known as West Virginia.

  • Rembrandt went bankrupt in 1656.

  • World famous boxer, Mike Tyson went bankrupt even after earning more than $300 million dollars.

  • M.C. Hammer had no other way left to solve his financial problems but to file bankruptcy.

  • Before beginning his career in circus, P.T. Barnum filed for bankruptcy.

  • John Henry Heinz's company filed for bankruptcy in 1875.

I know a financial advisor who has accounts with people that make as little as 12,000 a year up to millions of dollars a year and he tells us stories of how it doesn't matter how much money you have it is how you manage it. A lot of people that have a lot of money have financial problems because they don't realize how much money they are spending or losing.

Is it worse to have millions and go bankrupt or to have hundreds and go bankrupt? I would say millions because you've had a taste of the rich life and that type of lifestyle.
