Would suggest you go to your CO or the JAG. They should be able to help you out with this. Also, since you are deployed, you are under the Protection of the Ammended Sailor and Soldiers Act. I don't have the link handy but a Google search should pull it up. Hope this helps!

I GOT A CALL FROM 866-594-8667 YESTERDAY.
I THINK IS FEDERAL BOND COLLECTION SERVICE BUT I'M NOT SURE.
I JUST RECEIVED ANOTHER CALL FROM THIS NUMBER AGAIN WHEN I WAS WRITTING THIS POST.

I LIVE IN MIAMI AND THESE COLLECTORS ARE CALLING FROM PHILADELPHIA?
I BET THEY ARE LOOKING FOR ANYBODY THAT DIDNT LIVE HERE AND HAVE A DIFFERENT SOCIAL SECURITY EITHER.
MY HUSBAND ASK ME WHO WAS BECAUSE NOBODY SAY NOTHING AND I TOLD HIM WAS A PRANK CALL.

I just ran into this company myself.
I haven't called them yet- i am attempting to hire a outside company. Attorney General appears to be the person to contact- disputing information is now fruitless. I had disputed accounts that were not even in my name, they refused to remove it.

Can anyone provide links or something for a more aggressive means of taking care of this? Everyone talks about how you must be nice and cooperative towards these companies- who's goal is to r@pe you in fee's and BS.

I have received calls starting Nov. 21, 2008 from "Federal Bond Collection Service" from a man with a threatening tone to his voice saying I owed over $1,000 (on a 'default' I think) naming a national bank and WANTED TO KNOW WHAT I WAS GOING TO DO ABOUT IT. I asked various questions for details which he didn't answer. I then asked why I hadn't received anything in the mail and told him to have them send me info in writing....HE HUNG UP ON ME. Then, starting Mon, Nov. 24 and continuing today (except for Thanksgiving Day) I have received calls from a woman who gave her 'name' and asked for payment over phone by credit card and amount would be reduced if I paid that day. I got an address and she calls daily re: not getting my check yet! I'm glad I checked this out on GOOGLE. FBCS needs to be shut down!
