If you know the collection is not yours I would call them back and have them verify the account information. They called me this morning and did not verify the account info and wanted me to fax my police report. The more I thought about it I wasn't faxing them a police report with my S.S. # so I called them back to verify the info and it wasn't even my S.S. #. They said they would remove my number immediately and guess what happened, they called my wife at home again within 5 minutes.

They are also total pricks, so I would be kind of leary about giving them any personal info. Here is the phone number if you need to contact them 866-594-8638.

Also Patrick, thanks for all your sacrifices and we are all praying for you and appreciate the good work you are doing over there.

Asage, pretty much how they were with me also. I basically called the guy out on being a prick and then the call pretty much ended.

When I asked her why she had given out my personal information to someone she told me "its all in a days work" which made no sense. Then I told her that I felt that she had violated the Fair Debt Collection Act and she yelled "You're a dumb ass and dont know a damn thing about the rules" then hung up on me.
Fact of the matter is, I researched my credit report after this phone call. They are claiming I owe a credit card company $597. What I do not understand is that I once owed that company around $1200, but paid it off in full. I never had another account with them, ever. So I do not know how I could owe them $597. Its on my credit report and I want it off of there because its not mine.
Any ideas or info on Federal Bond and Collection Service.
Thanks!
Andrew

I actually just won a lawsuite against this company for the samething 3rd party disclosure they tried to get out of paying me by saying they were going out of buisness... i advise to do the same and sue them

Central Credit Services absolutely does not play by the rules. They called and told me about a debt that was not mine, and bullied me on the phone that it was my burden of proof to show I do not owe the debt after I requested proof. that is in direct violation of the FDCPA burden of proof laws. We then played phone games for about a week while I faxed them paperwork they requested, and they said it "showed up blank" or claimed to have called and left me messages in return when they did not.

When I sent them certified mail disputing the charges, they quickly sold the false debt to Asset Acceptance who sent me a letter in the mail the next week. I am now sending them certified dispute letters too.

Does anyone know if Asset Acceptance and Central Credit Services are affiliated?
