They seem to be affliated with Platinum B Services. They violated several fdcpa laws and you need to file complaints against them with the AG in your state and in the state of Florida, FTC and the BBB. In your complaint include all threats they have made and the names of the people who have called. If they leave any messages, include a copy of the messages with the complaints.

I had a bunch of loans, and took out a loan against my 401K to pay them off. Paragon qould not let me know how much to pay, so, I paid what I thought owed by looking at my bank statements. Well a man named Russell Crenshaw called me and said that this is going to be turned over to someone, and I will be arrested and to contact my attorney and have I ever been in trouble before (no), well, he said that this is the day that it will start. I figured out that the interest is something like 800%. I will not back down from these people.

I myself have had the phone calls from Anthony Galloway...they are not REAL!! After doing extensive research on them with the help of the Prosecuting Attorney of Wyoming, these people are just out trying to get your money. ART in fact, is a real company, and quite nice in working to help you with your debt. They will even tell you that Anthony Galloway, United Federal, or Platinum B are not legit collection companies and that you should just ignore anything they tell you!

I, like many others on this board, received a phone call today that shocked the heck out of me. I was phoned by this guy who was obviously from a foreign country who told me that I had 30 minutes to call him back, that he had my IP address on file and that I had taken out a payday loan with his company and not paid it back.

He told me criminal charges were going to be filed for bank fraud because I closed my account. I told him to hold it, for I didn't close the account---HIS company kept on hitting it over and over repeatedly and on dates other than those originally agreed upon until my credit union of 16 years finally closed the account themselves. He gave me a "case number" and a 908-212-3726 number to call him back. I've never had a criminal complaint alleged against me, and the ONLY reason I resorted to payday loans was because my mom had an acute heart attack in January and she already has COPD. I explained this situation to the guy and said I'd be more than glad to work out a payment plan, but he would have none of it. I was shaken, then mad. I called the FTC and filed a complaint, then called a nonprofit consortium to stop predatory lending in Durham, NC and am awaiting a return phone call. Additionally, I called the CUNA and explained the situation to them. Everyone involved says, matter-of-factly that this company VIOLATED the law by harrassing me to the point of exasperation and by accusing me of a crime when I've never so committed one. One thing is certain---I WILL work to see that Payday lenders are run OUT of America. They're as bad as the Taliban and their members actually sound like the Taliban!

This is a famous threat from them. They think if they threaten bank fraud, people will run out and pay them immediately and pay them way more than what is owed. They will not file anything against you. File a complaint against them with the AG office in your state and the state they are operating out of. Their case number is nothing more than an account number.

I too have received calls from the 908 and 305 area codes from this company. Of course the man leaving the messages speaks virtualy no english so even if I were so inclined, I couldn't call him back because I can't understand a word he says except for 'good luck with this legal mess if you don't call me back'. Nice...not.

I just received my letter back from them, they refused it. Any suggestions? I have a $300.00 loan with them, it went into collections with ART and I have paid them $630.00. Any suggestions or this might be a good one to send to my attorney general?

That is the address I used. I suppose they refused it. When I called for an address, they said we will only release that to your attorney. I suppose now my only outlet is the attorney general. Espcially since this account went to collections. I will send a letter to the collection agency telling them this debt is no longer owed. Not sure what else to do
