What phone number shows up when these people call you. If they call you back pretend like you are going to send the money and see what kind of information they are going to give you. I'm sure they are going to tell you to send the money gram.

They are calling from different numbers everytime. For example: 904-685-5008 and 718-715-0846 and also it said "private number" a few times. Yes I acted like i was sending the money and he said send it by money gram and gave me all this info and stuff. When he calls back I am going to go off on that man its like its the same person everytime but hes giving me a different name or something

That is so crazy..
The 904-685-5008 is from Florida and
718-715-0846 is from New York.
I would tell them, how do you expect me to just jump up and send you money when you won't give me any information.

They are such idiots, I wish I could see these people face to face and tell them like it is.

So should I just ignore them and not worry about anything ? This matter isn't in fsm's hands anymore according to them

The last phone call I had with the idot, I told him I was only going to make payment through my program and that if he wanted any money they were going to have to verify the debt in writing. I kept talking over him and getting loud which was getting him mad...He said "Good Luck" and hung up

I got one more call after that and it was just a prank to my cell phone. When I got on the phone he just said "Hey how ya doin" and hung up.

It's been over a month and I haven't heard from them and they never faxed over anything to my counselor.

Hopefully they don't get any of the accounts I will be defaulting on this Friday.

If they don't want to give you any information then I would just ignore them until they are ready to cooperate, which seems probably never.

Make sure you file a complaint with the Florida Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commision. You can also file a complaint in the state yo live in.
The more complaints we file the faster they can be shut down.

Ok I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, The Federal Trade Commission, Attorney General of Florida and Attorney General of Alabama. Hopefully that will help. I still just have in the back of my head these idiots will come up here and I will go to jail! They also left a message saying they would come to my work and my house to get me!

What was the name of the company that called and told you that? Do you remember what the person's name was?

Don't worry they can't come and get you and take you to jail, they can't even threaten you with that...it is very illegal.

I called Kathy yesterday and she informed me that she didnt know who had bought out my debt. So I wasn't able to get any information just that some company had bought out my debt. I wouldn't send them any money like Yondela told me. Just got to the Attorney General of Florida and your state and the Federal Trade Commission and file a complain online. If you want the websites ill be glad to give them to you. Make sure if they are leaving you voicemails that you save them .

I have been receiving threatening calls from Andrew Flintoff, who claims he is an Affidavit Processor for United Federal Bank whose client, Debt Doctor, gave me a payday loan. He said my case file was being downloaded and I was also going to jail for check fraud and that 7 or 8 people would be either at home or here at work to pick me up. He said, "Don't worry - we'll find you. We know where you live and where you work." I called the Police Dept. who listened to his recordings I kept and they called to tell him he was being investigated for harassment. The police officer said they could barely understand his broken english, but that when this jerk realized it was a legitimate law enforcement officer, he actually hung up on her! I am having my lawyer call him next & may sue United Federal Bank for harassment.

What did the police tell you when you called and told them what those people were saying? Did they say you could go to jail???

KP, you can't go to jail, these are threats that some CA's make that are illegal. Calling the police was a good thing. And the police calling the CA was even better. CA's can try to take advantage of people that don't know or understand the laws that protect them
