Back in August of this past year, I got a loan from FSM Processing (a/k/a FSM Group) for $250.00. I was in under my eyeballs in debt from cash advance places, and closed my bank account so I could catch up on these things. I've paid off a couple here and there, and am in the process of paying off one to FSM Processing. Well, after a run around, I finally got a payment to a company called ART (account receivable technologies), and everything was hunky dory. Well, today, I get a call from an Anthony Galloway and Associates and they say they're going to file my account with the courts for check fraud?!? What is this?

alexhortdog95,

Did you check whether the money was sent to your debt account? Gather all the receipts of your payments that you made to the company and ask them to update your account if it has been paid in full.

Another agency is contacting you because the account has not been updated with the bureaus. This can only be done by that company that was holding your account previously.

I also received the same call form Anthony Galloway andAssociated this last Friday. They said the same thing to me. ART had the account and I sent a letter of validation to them and 3 days later this guy from Anthony Galloway called and told me to have my family and lawyer on stand by to get me after I am arrested for check fraud. I told them I wanted validation for this account in writing and he said this call was just to inform you about the charges being filed against you. IF they were going to file charges against you they wouldnt give you warning about it. I think it is just another Ellis Crosby company at work.

Here's what I did:

I spoke with FSM, took the information of the man I spoke with. In the meantime, I called my own attorney, and made them aware of the situation. Got a call back from FSM and they said that the only agency I should be receiving calls from was ART (who have been very nice in the matter), and that if I get any more calls from Ellis to tell them to stop calling me. If I get another one, I'm going to refer them to my attorney.

Do any of you have the address for Anthony Galloway & Associates. I keep asking them so I can send a debt validation to them but they give me the run around. They claim they are not a collection agency, but instead a lawyer working on behalf of the creditor. But it's funny b/c when I asked where I could send payments, they would gladly take my payment. Sounds crazy to me.

Do not work with them at all. I received a letter stating that Ellis Crosby and associates aren't collecting anyone's accounts anymore - due to fraudlent and threatening collection practices.

Hi Julie58

Welcome to the forums.

You might think of closing your checking account as you have sent more than you owe including the interest charges.

Once the checking account is closed, the company will try to contact you. Request for the loan statement that will give you details about your payments. If you have paid much more, you are likely to get a refund also.

Here is the address to contact FSM Processing

11 E. Gregory Blvd #Ste 200
Kansas City, MO 64114
Telephone: (816) 822-8677

Regards
Roxette

I just recieved a call this morning from a man by the name of ernest presley that left on my answer machine that i needed to call and it would be in my best interest to have a lawyer on the phone with me and if not then he wish me the best of luck. I called the number back and he told me that united fed bank was going to send my file to be prosecuted at 12pm today if i didnt pay them. and put it as a no show like if i were to be running from them. I asked if they would take pymts and he placed me on hold and like if he were calling the bank and said they did not want to hold on to the file anymore and wanted it paid today. and he said the pymt could be sent by money gram and gave me some recieving number.

I have three PAY DAY LOANS out right now and seem to be drowning in trying to pay my everyday bills and will not be able to pay the loans back right away----Does that mean I will have the police at my door if I close my bank account?

Hi Guest

Closing your checking account will stop all the withdrawals that take place in it. Later, when the company will contact you, you can arrange for a payment plan with them and stick to it.

I suggest you to make this move before they contact you. They will understand that you are going through some financial difficulties and thus are willing to make payments arranged for you.

Regards
Roxette

Today I received a phone call about the loan I received from this group. I had tried to reach them concerning the payoff but they never would return my phone call. I was laid off from my job and couldn't pay the loan.
BUT I was willing to work out a payment plan to pay this off and I am still willing but I need some time to do that. If someone would please email me I would be glad to work this out. Otherwise I don't know what to do. Thank you for all of your help. Kathy Dorton

Hi Kathy

Please send a payment proposal to FSM in writing so that they can review it. If you can advance them some money along with the proposal and stick to it, it will be more appropriate.

Roxette

why get loans if you're not going to pay them? And then when you don't pay then, think there are no consequences. I would suggest if you sign up for something, read the documents....... esspecially if it concerns your banking account information...... if they give you a number, keep it. so many people on here are lying, it's not even funny.

Some of the lenders don't give their phone numbers, just fax numbers and they keep their addresses a secret. What purpose would we have of lying on here?
