Make arrangements with ICS

Well I'm working for ICS. And people there is no such word as "fraud" in our company. If u sign up to take out a loan, listen to what they tell u, then all your questions will be answered. Remember that when we call u we just want to help u from paying any extra fees. If your acc gets current, then on your next paydate u will be able to pay in full, if you return our calls. How it works is that for every payday that u dont pay your acc in ful a processing fee of $89 will be added on your account, so unless u dont call us, we will ad a processing fee. So all u have to do is to call them and say that u want to pay in full, if you cant just come to an agreement to paydown your account. If you take out a $200 loan, at the end of the day, if you keep intouch with ics, and keep to the agreement, the amount you wiil pay is: $387, the breakup is as follows: $200 loan, $35 once off origination fee and a processing fee of $89. If you dont call to arrange to "PAY YOUR ACCOUNT IN FULL" they will keep adding a $89 fee on your acc on each paydate because no arrangments has been made. So its as easy as that. ICS is working through the righ channels, its only the customers that doesnt do their homework, and then to be stubburn with a consultant who is only trying to help the cust isnt going to make your case better. The consultant call each client before each paydate, and if they do not talk to the cust, they leave a message on all the numbers that the customer provided the day he/she took out the loan, asking the cust to call back "TO MAKE ARRANGEMNTS, NOT TO STEEL THEIR MONEY". When ics starts wage garnishment, its only because either they couldnt get hold off the customer or they cant debit from the customers bankaccount. We ork with thousands of people everyday, and the happy ones are the ones who listened to the conditions when they signed up, the unhappy ones were the ones who didnt listen. So people lets be reasonable............
The ICS No is: 1800 865 3703.
So guys call in today and make arrangements.

Ok, if this is the case, can your company give an itemized statement of all the payments made in the past? I believe you claim to be a paperless company. Can you show proof of the last payments done by us?

Since I believe that many people have paid more than what you have quoted here, should they claim for a refund? Nothing will be done without basis. You send us our past payment record and we will pay you the remaining balance, if any. Just simple at that!

Thank you for taking the time to post this and try and clarify ICS's policy.

There a few issues which you do not address. Among them:

In many states Lenders must be licensed , and interests and fees are regulated by those states (the policy you have out lined is in violation of the Illinois Payday Loan Reform Law for one).

Just because you have np physical locationin a state, does not exempt you from complying with the laws of any state if you are attempting to exicute a business transaction with a citizen of that state

You can not force someone to give up the rights and protections afforded them under their state laws by having them sign or verbally agree to a disclosure stating such.

I just dealth with ICS I explained to them what was going on. The gentleman I dealt with was very helpful and polite because I was willing to pay the debt. He told me exactly what I owed and explained everything to me. And it wasn't and extremely high amount. And we came to an agreement amicably. So its always worth giving it a try.

Having personally dealt with ICS, I can say the following.. yes they will attempt the wage assignment even though it is illegal if 1) not in writing, 2) you can revoke it 3)like it or not they are required to follow laws governing payday loans in your jurisdiction even though they will claim otherwise, but I can also say that they did work with me, even though it took me a year to pay them off.

So what is the veridct... in my mind it is this.. it is always best to try and work with your payday lender, and most of the people here have tried... I realize there are some visitors to this board who have not even defaulted and are interested in the "letter", but the vast majority of people here are here because they tried to do the right thing and were dealt with illegally, unfairly etc.. So with respect to ICS, yea.. try and work out arrangments.. but be careful, document everything.

For any members wanting more details on how I dealt with ICS, pm me and I will gladly share.

Friendly, your input here is very much appreciated. we've never heard anything this good from a PDL! I myself have posted a similar advice column pertaining to student loans, which I used to collect. Looks like we're both on the same side; The helpful and informative side. This forum could use some more of your advice because the lions share of the members here have taken out payday loans, also, many of them are still a little hazy on what their rights are. This is where you come in.

I think you need to go back to school and learn how to spell. It is "steal" not "steel".

Nobody's perfect! Some of us don't excel at spelling as do others! No need to lay into somebody over it! This is a debt management forum, not grammar class!

I also had a friendly relationship with ICS. I kept them informed when I defaulted, and they were respectful. Yes, their fees are higher than other payday loan companies, but I guess I knew that going into it. ICS never harrassed me or made threats. I had 6 payday loans, and ICS was probably the easiest to deal with.

I have PDL's with these two companies, and am in a bind right now. Don't have the money in my account to be debited on the 15th. My phone is not working at this time, so how else do I contact them to make arrangements? Is there an email address? Need help ASAP.
